Anne Hathaway has revealed the surprising thing she loves most about working with Australian actors on film sets.

The glamorous American actress, 43, appeared on Channel Seven's Sunrise on Wednesday morning and was asked what she particularly likes about working with Aussies.

The Devil Wears Prada actress admitted she loves the laid-back attitude of her Australian co-stars, which has included Hugh Jackman in the 2012 movie Les Misérables and Rebel Wilson in The Hustle.

'I think playfulness. I think Aussie's are very private about taking it seriously... I think it is very, just, 'have a great time', the vibe is that nobody takes themselves seriously,' Anne said.

However, Anne added that she appreciated that Australian actors did in fact work hard, despite their laid-back appearance.

'Secretly, everyone is taking the work seriously,' she said.

Anne also stars with veteran Aussie actor Patrick Brammall in her recently released film The Devil Wears Prada 2, in which he plays her love interest.

Earlier this month, Patrick, 50, revealed why Sydney Sweeney's cameo in the movie was cut from the final film.

The Australian actor revealed that the Euphoria star's role in the movie was removed for several different constraints.

'When putting a film together, things have got to go... and so Sydney Sweeney went! I never met her, but she was apparently in the opening sequence,' Brammall told the No Filter podcast.

He added that the Washington-born actress's role was omitted to improve the overall narrative flow of the film.

'It is all for creative reasons and time, that sort of stuff. There were a few scenes that I shot that weren't in the movie,' he said.

It was recently reported that Sydney had filmed a small role in the long-awaited sequel to the 2006 hit movie, and that it had been removed from the final product.

The actress, 28, had been due to feature in a three-minute scene where she was styled by Emily Blunt's character, yet it was scrapped because 'it did not work structurally.'

Originally, the scene had featured Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) reuniting with her former Runway colleagues, Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) and Nigel Kipling (Stanley Tucci), to save the fashion magazine from imploding amid a scandal.

In a bid for help, they enlisted the help of former Runway assistant Emily who now works at Dior, walking in on her while she was styling Sydney.

That scene no longer makes the final cut but it's been claimed that 'the team working on the movie were grateful for her participation, making the decision to remove the bit a difficult one.'

Sydney also did not attend the film's premiere last month.

Fans first learnt of her involvement with the movie when she was spotted arriving on the New York City set in August.
