Amy Robach & T.J. Holmes obtain marriage license one year after ex-GMA lovers' engagement

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are one step closer to becoming husband and wife.

The former Good Morning America journalists – Robach, 53, and Holmes, 49 – have applied for a marriage license in Arkansas, where the latter was born.

It comes one year after the couple announced their engagement.

The Washington County Clerk reportedly confirmed to TMZ that the future Mr. and Mrs. applied for the license on September 18.

The ex news anchors, whose bombshell affair ignited shock waves in November 2022, have not revealed where they plan to say 'I do.'

This past May, during an appearance on Bill and Giuliana: The Podcast, Holmes shared that a wedding date has been set, though he did not say when it will take place.

Robach and Holmes unveiled their engagement last year in mid October on their Amy & T.J. podcast.

At the time, they told listeners that they had gotten engaged a month earlier.

The duo vacated their jobs at ABC in early 2023 following an internal investigation into their relationship.

'After several productive conversations with Amy and T.J. about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News.

'We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions,' a representative for the network said in a February 2023 statement.

Prior to the firing, the duo had been taken off the air while their employer decided how to handle their shock romance as they were each married to separate people.

After Daily Mail uncovered that the married co-anchors were having an affair, both Robach's and Holmes' decade-plus-long marriages were left in tatters.

Holmes filed for divorce from his second wife, Marilee Fiebig, in December 2022 and they share 13-year-old daughter Sabine.   

The TV personality was previously married to journalist Amy Ferson and they share daughter Brianna and son Jaiden.

Meanwhile, Robach and then-husband Andrew Shue separated in August 2022, months before her affair with Holmes came to light.

Their divorce was finalized in March 2023. 

Robach shares daughters Ava, 23, and Annalise, 20, with ex-husband Tim McIntosh, to whom she was married from 1996-2009.

Robach and Holmes co-host the Amy & T.J. podcast, which they launched with iHeartMedia in December 2023.

They have spoken candidly on the show about everything from their controversial beginnings to marriage and their future together. 

Their former spouses, Shue and Fiebig, struck up a romance in late 2023.

They later began living together, with reports earlier this year claiming that they have discussed marriage. 

Sources told Page Six in January the relationship is 'very serious' but that the two are 'not rushing it.'

'They've both been married before. It is something they're thinking about,' one insider told the outlet.
