How fast can deals make it to my door? An Amazon shipping guide
If you’re an Amazon shopper in Australia, you’ve probably noticed that shipping speeds can vary depending on where you live. In metro areas, next-day delivery is often available, while some locations, including select metro areas, can even get same-day shipping. But if you’re in a rural or remote area, things can take a little longer.
For those in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, and select metro areas, Amazon offers next-day shipping on a huge range of products for Prime members. Order today, and your package could be at your door tomorrow. If you’re not a Prime member, standard shipping options are still available, but delivery times may be longer, and you might need to pay extra.
If you live in Sydney or Melbourne, you might even qualify for same-day shipping on select items, but you’ll need an Amazon Prime membership for this option as well. This means that if you place your order before lunchtime, you could have it by the evening. It’s a great option for last-minute gifts or urgent purchases.
For those in regional and rural areas, Amazon still delivers, but shipping times will depend on how far you are from a major hub. Most Prime-eligible items will arrive within two to five days, though some locations may have to wait a little longer. Non-Prime orders may take longer, and shipping costs can vary depending on the seller and product.
No matter where you live, Amazon shipping speeds are better than ever, but if you want to check what’s available in your area, you can enter your postcode at checkout to see estimated delivery times.

If you’re a frequent Amazon shopper, signing up for Prime could be worth it just for the faster shipping alone. If you’ve never tried it, you can start with a 30-day free trial. That means you can sign up now, take advantage of the sale, and cancel anytime if you decide it’s not for you.
Boxing Day early deals on Amazon
Boxing Day is just around the corner – officially landing on December 26. And while Amazon’s official Boxing Day sale isn’t technically here yet, there are already plenty of discounts floating around, and they usually ramp up the closer we get.
If you missed something during Black Friday, this is often the next best chance to grab it at a discounted price. It’s also a decent time to sort out back-to-school gear, line up an upgrade, or finally buy the thing you actually wanted for Christmas but couldn’t justify at full price.
The other nice Amazon quirk is timing. For today only, you can sometimes jump on an early deal before Christmas and still get it delivered in time to quietly slide it under the tree. And even if you’re thinking “I’ll wait”, keep in mind Boxing Day week doesn’t always wait for you – some of the better deals can disappear before the big day itself.
So where do you start when Amazon has deals across tech, games, appliances, wearables and more?
Right here!
I’m tracking the best Amazon deals to see what's actually dropped in price, and what's just another fake discount. I’ll be here every day adding new discounts, and I’ll also pull anything that sells out or creeps back up in price, so you know anything here is a genuinely good deal.
