Ludovic Attal has exited his brand partnerships role at Amazon MGM Studios and become President at Israel‘s Sipur.

Attal takes on the role previously held by the late Michael Peter Schmidt, a co-founder of Red Arrow Studios who died last year. He joins nearly a year after Shari Redstone invested in and became Chair of Sipur, and a few months after Deborah Kaufmann, former Senior Vice President of Literary Affairs at Legendary Entertainment, took up a Chief of Global Content role.

Attal will expand the studio’s global footprint, deepen strategic partnerships and accelerate development, financing and production of film and television projects for audiences worldwide.

He was previously running brand partnerships for EU originals for Amazon MGM Studios, a role he landed in 2024, having held a number of posts at the company working across the likes of The Handmaid’s TaleFargo and Vikings in acquisitions. He is an experienced international exec who has worked for Fox Television Studios, Sony Pictures Television and TF1 Productions, overseeing development and acquisitions.

Sipur makes the likes of Bad Boy and Hagai Levi’s Etty, and has backed Cristin Milioti-starring horror Buddy and Gus Van Sant’s Dead Man’s Wire. It recently renewed a first-look deal with MGM.

“Ludovic is one of those rare executives who combines outstanding creative instincts with a sophisticated understanding of financing, strategy and international partnership-building,” said Sipur CEO Emilio Schenker. “From the first time I met him during his MGM years, it was clear to me that he is a brilliant executive and one of the very few people in the industry who truly understands how to leverage financial arbitrage across markets and structure international co-productions in order to build, own and control IP.
