Amanda Bynes looks somber as she steps out in LA following death of her All That co-star Christy Knowings

Amanda Bynes cut a somber figure as she stepped out with her boyfriend Zachary Khan on Wednesday, following the death of her All That co-star Christy Knowings.

The former child star, 40, was seen shopping for supplies in the Fashion District of Los Angeles a day after Knowings died at 46, after suffering an asthma attack which left her with brain damage.

Knowings appeared on All That for three seasons from 1997-2000, playing several characters, including Penny Lane and Jessica on the recurring Whateverrr!!! sketch with Bynes. 

Bynes, who recently pivoted her career to designing, held hands with Khan as they strolled the different stores and looked at fabric during their outing.

The retired actress - who began dating Khan around September 2025 - wore a white t-shirt with the New York City logo along with a grey miniskirt. She paired the look with a Gucci belt and a pair of pink sneakers.

Meanwhile, her boyfriend, 40, rocked an all-black look complete with white sneakers. 

The Daily Mail has reached out to Bynes's representative for comment but has yet to hear back.

In 2022, Knowings was among the stars who showed support for Bynes and rooted for the end of her conservatorship. The conservatorship was terminated that same year. 

At the time she told TMZ: 'If it were me, I would want people to support me.'

Knowings concluded that 'Amanda's a sweet person' and said she 'loved working with her.' 

Knowings was placed on life support at a Los Angeles-based hospital last Friday per TMZ, with family later deciding to take her off it. The star died on Tuesday evening.

Knowings also appeared in three episodes of Sesame Street alongside her twin brother, Chris Knowings. 

Her representative told The Daily Mail in a statement: 'Christy was a multi talented lady. Whether it was singing, acting, dancing, she was always creating. Always professional and dedicated to her work.'

In the wake of her death, her former co-star Kenan Thompson, 48, paid an emotional tribute on Instagram, writing: 'Man this one hit hard!!! Rest well Christy!!! Never could have imagined this day!!

'Sending so much love to her family!! She was a real one and one of the funniest people out here!!! Gonna miss you buddy!!! Show @christyknowings some love y’all!!!  

In a 2019 interview with Bustle, Knowings reflected on her time on the show as a teen, saying: 'My favorite moment on set was when I started to do this character in Season 6 named Gloria Bankhead. She was an over-the-top Martha Stewart.

'I had never played any character like her! I just remember being on set and being her all-day long. Everybody loved it! 

'The writers, the stage managers, everybody was just like, "Hi Gloria!" Gloria Bankhead was my favorite character to play. 

'She was on set like that all the time. It was fun to just be in character like that, even when the cameras weren’t rolling. It’s what I’d do constantly.'

Knowings' death comes seven months after the passing of her All That co-star Kianna Underwood, 33, in a hit-and-run collision in Brooklyn in January.  

The former child star got her big break on the infamous Nickelodeon sketch comedy series. 

She appeared in All That for seven episodes in 2004 and 2005, according to her IMDB page. 

The show produced several stars, including longtime Saturday Night Live cast member Kenan Thompson and Bynes. 

Underwood replaced Jamie Lynn Spears on the sketch comedy series for its tenth and last season. 

She also appeared in the film The 24 Hour Woman, starring Patti LuPone, and voiced a character in the animated movie Santa Baby!. 

The young actress also dabbled in stage production, touring with the musical Hairspray. 

Underwood didn't continue acting as an adult and seemed to be living in New York City at the time of her death.
