Alli Simpson reveals mind-blowing gift from The Kardashians during brother Cody and Kylie Jenner's relationship - and why Kris Jenner is the 'absolute GOAT' on Daily Mail's new podcast THE DEBRIEF

Alli Simpson has opened up about growing up in Hollywood, sharing a heartwarming memory from the time her brother Cody Simpson was dating Kylie Jenner.

The Australian singer-songwriter and actress, 28, spoke on her family's close encounters with the Kardashian clan during Cody's high-profile romance with Kylie, revealing the famous family couldn't have been more welcoming.

Kylie was Cody's first ever girlfriend and the pair dated for about 12 months when he was 15 years old.

Speaking about the experience on Daily Mail's podcast The Debrief, Alli had nothing but praise for Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner, describing her as the ultimate host. 

'Kris is, like, the best ever. She was so welcoming to Cody as the Australian boyfriend,' she said.

'They all go on about how much they love Australians and Australian accents. They're a super welcoming family.'

Alli went on to recall spending Christmas with the Kardashian-Jenners during Cody and Kylie's relationship, revealing her own family was invited to join in the festivities. 

'When Cody and Kylie were together, we spent a Christmas with them,' she explained.

'And they obviously do Christmases to the extreme, you know? The huge Christmas tree in the house.'

Despite the lavish surroundings, Alli said what stood out most was how down-to-earth the family was.

'It was so cool, because we were so young at the time and we rocked up with our car and mum and dad. We were all there!' she added.

'My Nanna was there – my mum's mum. She was sitting next to Kim Kardashian in her pyjamas.

'It was just nice. Everyone was just sitting around, no makeup. They're just the most beautiful, normal family.'

But it was a generous parting gift from Kris that left a lasting impression on the Simpsons.

According to Alli, guests would arrive at the Kardashian-Jenner estate and have their vehicles whisked away by valet staff before heading inside for the celebrations.

When the evening was over, they were in for a surprise.

'You pull up your car and then valet takes it away. And then when you leave, valet comes back,' Alli recalled.

'And Kris, being the absolute GOAT that she is, the [boots of the cars] were filled with presents.'

The unexpected gesture saw the family return to their car to find it overflowing with gifts personally arranged by the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch.

'So, the car would come back and then the whole back of your car was just filled with cooking s**t, makeup, perfume,' Alli revealed.

'Kris is like Santa, basically!'

The sweet anecdote offers a rare glimpse inside the Kardashian-Jenner family's famously over-the-top holiday celebrations and suggests that, away from the cameras, Kris takes her role as host very seriously.

Cody and Kylie were linked in the early 2010s, with the Australian singer becoming one of the beauty mogul's first high-profile romances.

In a recent interview, the 29-year-old hitmaker revealed the pair 'bonded through being in unique situations' and dated for about 12 months.

Recalling how he first met Kylie, he told Paul C Brunson's We Need To Talk podcast: 'The Twilight 3 Premiere, as I remember it. Yeah. That's really funny.

'Kylie and I met, I was probably 15. She may have been 14 or 15. She's a tiny bit younger than I am, but I think her and Kendall were interviewing people on the red carpet.

'They'd just started doing stuff because their sisters were super successful and they'd just started doing stuff in the public eye, they had the show going on, and they'd started to be on the show.

'And they were interviewing people on the Twilight premiere red carpet. And I went and I took my sister to the premiere because she loved Twilight.

'I think I asked Kylie for a number there or something, like we exchanged numbers and we started talking. It was young. I took her to the movies and we dated for about a year and I think we just bonded through being in these unique situations.'

He continued: 'So it was nice. I think it's just nice to relate to somebody at that age in that world. I'm like in High School, what am I supposed to do, I don't have a school with girls, like my school was Hollywood in a way, because I was homeschooled.

'So the only way I could meet people was literally at the Twilight premiere or at one of my shows, but that's a weird place to try it. So there are very few places in which I could socially be a kid, be a young dude trying to date, trying to kiss girls'.

Cody went on to date supermodel Gigi, who was just starting out her modelling career as she landed a billboard for Guess and caught the singer's eye.

The Australian star revealed Gigi 'was my first love' as they dated for two years.

The pair dated from 2013 to 2015, citing their demanding schedules and time spent living apart as the main reason for their breakup.

A few years later, Cody dated Disney actress and singer Miley Cyrus as the pair bonded over 'rebelling from being in teen pop stardom'.

The pair had been close friends for years before their relationship turned romantic following Miley's split from Liam Hemsworth.

Most recently, Cody appears to have found new romance just two weeks after his shock split from Olympic swimmer Emma McKeon was confirmed.

The Australian singer was spotted strolling arm-in-arm with American influencer Adelia outside a cafe in Los Angeles in March.

Cody's sister Alli confirmed the rumours they had split late last year on The Morning Show, saying her brother and the Olympic athlete had 'moved on' from one another.

'She is like sunshine in human form, so I'm just so happy they can move forward,' Alli said.

While Alli did not share a reason for the split, she explained the pair, who began dating in April 2022, want privacy as they navigate the future.

'I don't want to speak for either of them, this is their private time and their business and I love them both dearly,' she added.

The couple, who began dating in April 2022, sparked breakup speculation after it appeared as if they were living increasingly separate lives.

Cody and Emma were last pictured together at a public event in December, when Emma attended the launch of a watch collection as an ambassador for Omega.
