The Arrival quests in The Sims 4
There are five key tasks featured in The Arrival portion of the event. These missions focus on kicking it off with the arrival of the Royal Envoy and getting familiar with the situation and what’s expected of you in it.
| Meet the Royal Envoy. | Search around the lot you started the event on to locate the Royal Envoy. She’s a special event NPC with red hair and a black shirt and pants combo, plus a green and yellow vest. As soon as you begin the event, she should spawn somewhere around the neighborhood of your current lot. If you search around and don’t see her, you can click on your Sim and select the “Call Envoy to current lot” option. It’s only available if she’s not nearby, so if you don’t have it, keep searching for her. |
| Watch the news on TV. | Click on any television, select the “Watch Channel…” option, and cycle through all of the available channels until you spot the “Watch News” option. It has a special event icon next to it, making it a bit easier to locate. |
| Ask about the Darong Family. | Interact with the Royal Envoy and select the “Ask about the Darong Family” option. It should be on the first page of interactions when you chat with her. |
| Make a painting. | Click on an easel and select any of the available painting options to create some artwork. If you want to get this task done as swiftly as possible, it’s best to make some kind of small painting, like a Small Classic Painting. |
| Express feelings about art. | Click on the painting you just made or another piece of art and select the “Express feelings” option. In the pop-up that follows, select any of the available options. It doesn’t matter which one you select outside of the small prize you get for each one, which is listed below them. |
Darong Beginnings quests in The Sims 4
Screenshot by DestructoidThere are six quests in the Darong Beginnings portion of the event. In this part, the Royal Envoy is on the move, and you need to follow them to the library to learn more about the Darong family.
| Visit the Willow Creek Archive library. | Open the map and locate the Willow Creek Archive, which is a library found in the Willow Creek world. It’s located near the bottom left corner of the map in the Crawdad Quarter area. Have you Sim travel to this location to move on to the next step. |
| Ask the Envoy about the library. | Once you’re at the library, locate the Royal Envoy again. Click on her and select the “Ask about library” option to progress. She might take a bit to show up at the lot and may be found wandering around outside nearby rather than inside the lot. |
| Hack a computer at the library. | Click on any computer at the library and select the “Hack for Darong Family information” option. |
| Ask someone about the Darong Family. | Locate any Sim other than the Royal Envoy and choose the “Ask about the Darong Family” option. You need to know them to get this option to appear, so if you don’t, be sure to introduce yourself. |
| Search a bookshelf. | Click on any bookshelf at the library and choose the “Investigate bookshelf” option. |
| Travel home. | Return to your home lot using your phone to travel or by selecting it from the map. |
