Ahead of The Devil Wears Prada 2's May 1 release, Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep proved just how stylish they can be during the film's global press tour.

Anne Hathaway Details Andy's Fashion Evolution in ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’

Truth is, no one can do what Miranda Priestly does—except maybe Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep

After all, as the Devil Wears Prada 2 costars hit the red carpet for the film's press tour ahead of its May 1 premiere, they've taken their style and sense of fashion to the next level.

Beginning in Mexico City at Frida Kahlo's home La Casa Azul, Meryl—who plays Runway editor-in-chief Miranda—brought the heat on March 30 in a fiery all-red custom Dolce & Gabbana suit, featuring a satin bow tied around her neck.

Styled by Michaela Erlanger, the Oscar winner completed the look with matching shoes and a custom Olympia Le-Tan Devil Wears Prada book-shaped clutch.

Meanwhile, Anne—who is returning as Miranda's former assistant Andy Sachs—attended the event in a black ensemble adorned with a large golden eye on the bodice and featuring fringe along the collar.

Her stylist Erin Walsh revealed that she focused on "intentional dressing," including honoring the event's location with a "very surrealist Schiaparelli vibe."

"It really taps into that 'Art is fashion' idea," she explained in her March 31 Instagram video. "To kick things off, a little bit of art, a little bit of fashion, a lot of fun and a lot of intention."

Just like how Anne's outfits represent the film and where the cast is attending press events, her character's wardrobe is also a mirror of her surroundings.

"Nobody wants to suspend disbelief for a second," Anne told Zuri Hall on Fandango's Big Ticket Podcast in March. "People want you to earn your truth and we made sure that we did. So, Andy had the closet of someone who worked at Runway in her 20s and then had a job where she traveled all over the world, where there are consignment stores."

"I think Andy lives at the corner of practical and fabulous," The Idea of You alum added. "She looks cute, her choices are expensive and they're curated for her by her."
