In addition to nailing her vocals this weekend, Adele also rocked a spot-on Death Becomes Her costume in homage to Meryl Streep, with whom she shared a loving embrace at her Las Vegas residency show Nov. 1.

In a video captured of the sweet moment, the powerhouse singer-songwriter momentarily paused singing the lyrics to “When We Were Young” to greet Streep, who originated the vain has-been actress character of Madeline Ashton in Robert Zemeckis’ 1992 cult classic. The Grammy-winning phenom can be seen curtsying and cheerily saying “Hello” (pun unintended) before hugging Streep and adding, “I love you.” In response, Streep blew kisses Adele’s way as the star continued walking across the front row.

Held at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, the Friday performance marks Weekend 47 for the concert series, which began back in November 2022 following a last-minute postponement. Adele will continue the run through Nov. 23 and will embark on an indefinite hiatus thereafter, she previously announced.

Adele posted images of her Halloween-themed outfit as the on-screen blonde bombshell, complete with the character’s signature silver long-sleeve silk top and matching jewelry. In one of the pictures shared to social media, eagle-eyed viewers can spot a replica of the magic potion Streep and Goldie Hawn’s characters drink in a bid for eternal youth in the fantasy-comedy film. A final image showcased Adele’s team getting in on the fun, cosplaying Hawn’s Helen Sharp and Isabella Rossellini’s mysterious Lisle Von Rhuman.

The sweet moment comes after the singer had a similar interaction with Céline Dion last week. The two shared a tearful embrace during her show, and Adele took to Instagram afterward to pen an emotional message about what it meant to her to perform in the venue, which was specially built for Dion’s own residency two decades prior. “Words will never sum up what you mean to me, or what you coming to my show means, let alone how it felt seeing you back in your palace with your beautiful family. I have loved being there it has been such an honor and Saturday night will be something I remember forever and ever,” she wrote.
