It's the latest in a long saga of family drama for Rae, who rose to fame in 2019 through her popular dance and lip-sync videos on TikTok.

Her dad and mom, Sheri Easterling, have been waging their own legal battle for years.

Easterling and Lopez wed a first time in 2004 but got divorced in 2017, according to the outlet. They got back together in 2018 and exchanged vows for the second time, but split again in 2022 following allegations that he had an affair with a 25-year-old woman named Renee Ash.

In February, the matriarch filed for sole custody of their youngest son, Lucas Lopez, 12, and to receive child support. Their other son, Enzo Lopez, is already an adult at 18.

Easterling suggested that Lopez have 'supervised visitation' of Lucas.

To bolster her case, Easterling described Lopez's alleged verbal and physical abuse that went as far back as 2005, per TMZ.

Easterling claimed that Lopez had been verbally abusive with her during the time they were married, calling her names like a 'stupid f***ing b****' and 'worthless trash.’

She also alleged that Lopez had slapped their daughter, Rae, 'across the face with an open hand for talking back to him in 2008’ when she was a minor.

During a later altercation, Easterling claimed Lopez 'beat her with a pillow and held it over her face so she couldn't breathe' after rejecting his sexual advances.

Easterling, who dated rapper Yung Gravy in late 2022, alleged Lopez 'beat her on the legs and butt' in 2020 during another fight.

When Lopez showed up to her home on October 29 to introduce her to his second wife, Kaitlyn, he 'violently banged on the door,' Easterling claimed.

The divorced father-of-four - who also has a daughter named Mayce from a previous relationship - reportedly only knew the much younger, former production supervisor for two weeks before they married in a Vegas ceremony on October 25.

Easterling remarried as well, tying the knot with high school football coach Jess Curtis in 2024.

Lopez's long list of issues includes alcoholism and multiple DUI arrests, Easterling told the court.

Easterling cited Lopez's arrest last year in connection with a felony obscenity case as characteristic of his inability to make wise decisions.

The alleged incident took place on August 31, 2024, at a Walgreens in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Rae - pictured on February 1 at The Grammys - has been forthcoming about her difficult relationship with her dad

Lopez reportedly exposed 'his genitals, pubic hair, in a public place or place open to public view, or in any prison or jail, with the intent of arousing sexual desire or which appealed to the prurient interest or was patently offensive.'

Lopez pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Rae, meanwhile, has been forthcoming about her difficult relationship with her dad.

In a July 2020 episode of the podcast That Was Fun, With Addison & Sheri, Rae told her mom, ‘You were a single mom for a good few years.

'From about three to six for me, Dad wasn’t really in my life very much. I’m sure that was a personal decision on your part with Dad.

'You brought me to work with you all the time. That’s where I remember being all the time.’

The Fame is a Gun hitmaker added, ‘You guys, I’m sure, kind of established that, like, “Hey, we’re gonna need some space. We need to have our time to figure things out.”’
