When Ali Larter stepped onto the red carpet at the 2026 Actor Awards, it was just after celebrating a milestone birthday—here's why the Landman star is so excited about turning 50.

What, like turning 50 is hard?
After all, when you're Ali Larter, such a milestone is nothing but exciting. In fact, the Legally Blonde alum shared insight into why she's feeling good as she heads into her 50th year while walking the red carpet at the 2026 Actor Awards.
"Life is beautiful," the Landman star told Justin Sylvester during the Live from E! broadcast at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall March 1. "I'm on a show that has just caught on with people all over the world. My children are healthy. My parents are great. I'm just full of gratitude."
And Ali—whose husband Hayes MacArthur was by her side on the red carpet—made sure her outside matched how good she feels on the inside for the Actor Awards in a gorgeous, body-hugging red gown from Zuhair Murad. (See every star here.)
"I feel like this is a celebration of acting and actors," she said of the award show, formerly known as the SAG Awards, adding of her red carpet look, "It's kind of a throwback to the retro queens, the heroines. And I just think that his dresses express femininity—accentuate the curves."
However, she noted, "I'll be back in sweatpants tomorrow."
But another reason Ali—who celebrated her milestone just one day before the Actor Awards—is so excited as she looks ahead to her next 50 years is thanks to her role on Landman as Angela.

"It's been really exciting to play a character that is so bold that breaks all the rules and still embraces her sexiness," she explained. "That's really fun to me, especially turning 50."
Plus, Ali—who is mom to kids Theodore, 15, and Vivienne, 10, with Hayes—has found joy in the similarities and differences between her and her character.
"I think the biggest similarities between me and Angela—our love for our kids," she added. "Like we are fierce with our families, but I'm not a rule breaker at all. It's like, I'm nervous to get pulled over by the cops. I don't speed. I show up on time."
"And I think playing her," she continued, "lets me let go of all that nervousness and anxiety, and I just—I own it."
