Abbie Chatfield has wept as she detailed the barrage of vile messages she's received from online trolls - some threatening to rape and murder her.

The outspoken influencer and political activist told ABC Australia that she has considered leaving the country after being targeted by death threats and AI-generated porn featuring her likeness.

'The only boundaries that I can put in place is to not check my DMs, but then I fear that I'm going to miss someone, telling me they're gonna come kill me,' the 31-year-old said, breaking down in tears.

'I don't really know what to do about it. The only option really is to move countries.'

Chatfield says that while she has pulled back from sharing controversial topics on her social media channels over the past year, the threats have continued.

Some of her detractors have even located her private mobile number, and sent messages in which they threaten to rape her.

'There have been periods of time where I haven't gone on social media, and I've received texts, like, threats of sexual assault to my personal phone number,' she said.

Abbie says that she has received a voice note in which a man told her: 'I'm excited to rape you and see the light go out of your eyes'.

She has also been sent 'deepfake, AI porn' showing her engaged in sex acts with a 'neo-Nazi leader.'

Chatfield has learned that most of the messages come from grown men, many of whom have children - and she fears that anyone who is 'crazy' enough send her graphic threats is capable of harming her physically.

'It makes you feel very trapped and very scared at all times,' she admitted.

Chatfield and her boyfriend, Peking Duk singer Adam Hyde, have previously discussed the anger and troll messages being directed at them daily.

In July, Hyde lashed out over a video that went viral last year, which showed him and girlfriend Chatfield criticising what they called 'Nazi protesters.'

The video, which first emerged in September, showed Hyde, 35, and Chatfield taking aim at members of the National Socialist Network who clashed with demonstrators at Camp Sovereignty, an Aboriginal protest site, in Melbourne King's Domain in August last year.

The musician, who performs under the moniker Keli Holiday, responded to the 'threats and harassment' he has endured as a result in a lengthy rant shared on Facebook.

'I'm addressing this now because since coming home from tour, people I love have been threatened, harassed and verbally abused in public and it's now become a safety issue not only for me, but for those around me,' he said.

'I've seen people claiming that I "wish death" upon "anyone who disagrees with me", that I have told "Everyday Australians" to "kill themselves", or have even threatened to harm people,' Hyde continued.

'These are defamatory and entirely untrue claims against me.'

Chatfield has also addressed 'creepy behaviour' that she and Adam have endured  when approached in public - some of it coming from their own fans.

'That is like creepy, creepy, scary behaviour for me and that's why I don't go out. It happens one in five times when I go out,' she said on her It's A Lot podcast.

'I'm really, really sad about it, that I have to leave Sydney as I'm just at a point where I'm so exhausted every day leaving the house and things like this happening.'
