Abbie Chatfield announces major Married At First Sight news: 'I have been waiting my whole life for this'

Abbie Chatfield shocked her fans on Thursday by making a very unexpected announcement.

The veteran presenter, 29, shared a clip to Instagram in which she revealed she would be hosting a weekly Married At First Sight recaps segment every Thursday.

The podcaster's clip showed an unidentified bride strolling through a scenic garden, as Abbie revealed the exciting news through voice over.

'I have been waiting my whole life for this moment. I know that finally now is the right time,' Abbie began.

'I'm ready, MAFS recaps every Thursday! Can't wait to talk s**t!' 

Abbie added the highly anticipated segment would be part of her weekly It's A Lot podcast, before adding she would try to get her boyfriend Adam Hyde involved.

'Finally I don't have another job on at the same time as MAFS. So, I am doing recaps baby!!! Every Thursday! DM me your thoughts as episodes air.'

Many of Abbie's followers quickly took to the comment section to share their thoughts about what they wanted from the segment.

'Let's rant about Misogynistic Man Babies!' one fan wrote, to which Abbie responded: 'There's always one.'

'Could your boyfriend Adam also do commentary with you sometimes?' a second person asked, and Abbie responded: 'Yes I will try to make him HAHA.'

Abbie has developed a reputation for her unfiltered chats on her podcast. 

Shortly after she went public with her relationship with Pekin Duk's Adam Hyde last year, she opened up about her sex life with her boyfriend in a candid and wide-ranging chat.

She appeared on the bonus Ask Me Anything episode with Adam, in which they discussed their budding romance.

As the new couple fielded questions about their bond, musician Adam cheekily boasted about the couple's sizzling chemistry.

Channel Nine's Married At First Sight Australia returns to screens later this month.
