Rio and Kate Ferdinand have shown off their best moves - and abs, during their fitness initiative in Dubai after returning to the war-torn region.

Kate, 34, took to social media to share footage from the event, which is part of their new fitness venture One Body Co, an online wellness platform that promotes holistic healing methods.

Before the day kicked off, she showed off her washboard abs in a red sheer two-piece as she flaunted her midriff.

Kate and Rio's community workout, which was held at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in the UAE, was free to join.

Former TOWIE star Kate wore a black Squatwolf two piece gym set, paired with Nike shoes.

Rio, 47, wore black shorts and a workout t-shirt from the same brand that carried their new business's logo.

Their successful event comes after they returned to war-torn Dubai after fleeing last month in what Kate branded as a 'nervous system reset'

The pair wore headsets to speak to the gathered crowd and participated in the physically demanding challenges on stage, showing off their durability and fitness levels.

In one clip shared to Kate's social media, beaming Rio could be seen pulling his wife in for a selfie as she boasted a big smile.

Announcing the new initiative, Kate had told fans earlier this week: 'We are hosting our FIRST @one.bodyco together community event this Friday at @jumeirahbeachhotel. Join us at 7:30am for a free workout, coffees and ice baths to leave feeling fully 'refreshed.

'If you want to attend, please register using the link in my bio and @one.bodyco bio. We really wanted to create a space to move your body, clear your mind and reconnect with others. We hope to see you there.'

Their successful event comes after they returned to war-torn Dubai after fleeing last month in what Kate branded as a 'nervous system reset'.

Rio and Kate made the decision to leave after 'scary' Iranian drone attacks began in the UAE and they had been forced to shelter in their basement.

They left the city for their holiday home in Portugal, before returning to London for work and family commitments and then jetting to the Maldives for a holiday.

Kate and Rio share two-year-old daughter Shae, Cree, five, and she is step-mum to Rio's children Lorenz, 19, and Tate, 17, and Tia, 15 - whose mother Rebecca Ellison tragically passed away from breast cancer aged 34 in 2015.

Shortly after they upped sticks to Dubai, Kate wrote how she was pining for the UK and wrote: 'I am enjoying it, but I miss home quite a lot.

'I get upset. I miss the big boys a lot and I'm just struggling with that. I know this decision is right for my younger children and as a family we are settled there, but the boys are following their football careers.

'So, they're doing what they want to do otherwise they'd be with us. But it's very hard because we've been through so much as a family and we've always been together and that's a huge adjustment.'

Earlier this week Kate marked her step-daughter Tia's 15th birthday with a sweet tribute.

Kate shared a snap of Tia back in Dubai looking out at Dubai's eye-catching skyline.

While her back was to the camera, Tia could still be seen smiling whilst holding a bouquet of flowers and pink and white balloons.

Kate said: 'It's the biggest privilege to be your step mum and I love you more than words can describe.

'My special special girl. Me and you forever'.
