Aaron Taylor-Johnson looks suave in a black tuxedo as he attends Battlefield premiere at the Venice Film Festival

Aaron Taylor-Johnson cut a dapper figure as he attended the premiere of Battlefield at the Venice International Film Festival on Saturday. 

The actor, 34, looked suave in a black blazer and trousers which he wore with a matching bow tie and a crisp white shirt.

The film star also sported a pair of aviator sunglasses as he looked effortlessly cool while posing for the cameras.

Aaron has had a busy year as he is starring in the upcoming horror film Nosferatu which is due for release on Christmas Day.

The actor is also slated to appear in the upcoming superhero film Kraven The Hunter and the zombie film 28 Years Later with Cillian Murphy

Battlefield, also called Campo di battaglia, is an Italian film and is in competition for the Golden Lion at the festival.

It comes after Aaron's wife Sam Taylor-Johnson wished him a happy birthday by posting a series of fun images on Instagram.

The director, 57, took to social media to mark her actor partner's 34th and sweetly called him her 'love'.

In the first snap he was seen impressively jumping high in the air in front of some graffitied streets.

The second saw him showing off his shirtless physique in swimming shorts as he jumped into the sea.

While the last snap he was seen reclining on the subway in New York having a nap with his cap covering his face.

She penned in the caption: 'Happy Birthday my love!', along with one black love heart.

Aaron and Sam, who have a fiercely private relationship, have previously caused controversy within the public due to their age gap. 

The couple met on the set of Nowhere Boy in 2009 and they share daughters Wylda Rae, 13, and Romy Hero, 11, as well as Angelica, 26, and Jessie, 16, from Sam's previous marriage to art dealer Jay Jopling.

When they first met on the film Aaron was just 18 and Sam was 42. They didn't get together until after they finished the project where a 'deep connection' was formed. 

Sam previously spoke about falling for Aaron on the set, but insisted nothing happened until the movie wrapped.

She said: 'I managed to hold off really until almost the end of the film. We weren't even together then. Maybe feelings were there but un-acted upon.'
