A24 has said Charli xcx’s feature, The Moment, has become its fastest-selling film in a limited release following a buzzy debut screening at Sundance.

The indie studio has reported that over 50 screenings for The Moment have sold out across what has been described as key markets. Tickets for the one-off screening and Q&A with Charli xcx and director Aidan Zamiri, which will be livestreamed across Alamo venues from Brooklyn, have sold out and are currently being shopped by resellers online. There are currently multiple forums on Reddit dedicated to selling The Moment tickets.

A24 has also said more than 70% of premium large-format showings are currently sold out, with the largest bulk of ticket buyers being under the age of 35.

The Moment debuted last week at Sundance. Directed by Aidan Zamiri from a screenplay he wrote with Bertie Brandes, the film is based on an original idea by Charli xcx. The “Brat” singer-songwriter also stars in the film, which follows a rising pop star as she navigates the complexities of fame and industry pressure while preparing for her arena-tour debut.

The film’s starring ensemble features Kylie Jenner, Rachel Sennott, Kate Berlant, Alexander Skarsgård, Rosanna Arquette, Jamie Demetriou, Arielle Dombasle, Hailey Benton Gates, Trew Mullen, Mel Ottenberg, Richard Perez, Isaac Powell, Rish Shah, Tish Weinstock, Michael Workéyè, Shygirl, and A.G. Cook.

Charli xcx also produced The Moment under her Studio365 label alongside David Hinojosa. Exec producers are Brandon Creed, Mikey Schwartz-Wright, and Zach Nutman.

The film will open in a limited release in NY and LA this weekend before opening wide on Feb 6.
