Netflix’s slate for March 2026 features a diverse range of titles, including highly anticipated sequels, original series, live events, and blockbuster films. And one of the titles sliding its way onto Netflix in March is an Alicia Vikander co-starrer with a Certified Fresh 89% critics' rating. Other than the title in question, the streamer’s March lineup also features the return of shows including, but not limited to One Piece Season 2 and Virgin River Season 7, as well along with movies including Jurassic World (2015), A Man Called Ove (2015), Anemone (2025), and the Netflix original documentary BTS: THE RETURN to mark the K-pop group’s much awaited comeback.
The title of the hour, however, is one of A24’s most polarizing releases, The Green Knight. The 2021 dark fantasy epic starring Dev Patel and Alicia Vikander is officially coming to the platform on March 1, 2026. Despite the David Lowery-directed film's solid 89% critics' score at the time of writing, The Green Knight received mixed reactions from audiences upon release, and that's largely due to its slow-burning pacing. The divide is reflected in its 89% critics’ score and 50% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Netflix’s global reach, however, might now help The Green Knight close that gap.
A24’s ‘Deep Cuts’ Gets Major Casting Change After Backlash
A24 was recently at the center of a major casting controversy surrounding the studio’s upcoming film Deep Cuts, starring Cailee Spaeny and Drew Starkey. The project, based on Holly Brickley’s 2023 novel, recently sparked backlash when Odessa A’zion was originally cast as Zoe Gutierrez, a character described in the book as half Mexican and half Jewish.
This decision led many to accuse the production of whitewashing and sidelining Latina representation. Not just that, but more than 100 Latino actors and creatives, including Eva Longoria, John Leguizamo, and Xochitl Gomez, signed an open letter urging Hollywood to stop sidelining Latino performers. A’zion ultimately dropped out of the film following the criticism and publicly acknowledged that she had not read the book before accepting the role. The actress took to Instagram to share her statement and admitted that she agreed with the backlash.
Now, a new report has confirmed that The Last of Us actress Ariela Barer has officially replaced A’zion as Zoe in the upcoming adaptation. Barer celebrated the news on social media and shared how special the project was to her, while also praising A’zion for how she handled the situation.
The Green Knight arrives on Netflix on March 1. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.
