A New Foundation Adaptation Has Officially Been Unveiled

Isaac Asimov's legendary Foundation series has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity thanks to the success of the critically acclaimed Apple TV+ show. The show's staggering visuals, excellent writing, and great characterization proved to resonate with both long-time fans of the original novels and newcomers who were venturing into its rich and complex universe for the very first time. Simply titled Foundation, the board game is currently undergoing playtests in preparation for the upcoming funding period. The game comprises numerous elements including, but not limited to, resource management, influencing other players, and deck building, all of which will need to be utilized to best your opponents and help establish a new order in the midst of the crumbling Galactic Empire. It all sounds rather appealing and certainly faithful to the original novels, although one will be able to better judge it when the game itself is publicly revealed during the funding period.

In a distant future, the Galactic Empire is in decline, and civilization is on the brink of chaos. Players take on the role of strategic leaders striving to preserve knowledge and build a new order. A competitive game of resource management, influence, and deck building, where every decision shapes the fate of the galaxy. Long-term planning and adaptability are essential to face unpredictable events, strengthen your deck, and counter internal and external threats.

Foundation is being funded through Gamefound, which has been used to help fund board games for Cyberpunk, The Lord of the Rings, and more.
