However, what should perhaps excite fans the most is the slew of brand-new Cyberpunk 2077 games scheduled to release far sooner than one may expect. These experiences aim to bring players back to Night City and experience a bevy of new heists, adventures, and nail-bitingly tense situations alongside a new cast and familiar faces. One such Cyberpunk 2077 game is scheduled to release in just a few months, giving fans something extremely promising to look forward to.
Cyberpunk 2077's latest game's gameplay reveal may not have been quite enough to get fans excited about the franchise's plethora of upcoming projects. Fortunately, the latest round of Cyberpunk 2077 TCG playtests might be the cherry on top players were hoping for, as they'll finally give a significant portion of the fanbase a chance to try out everything this reimagining of the core Cyberpunk experience has to offer.
The Cyberpunk 2077 TCG, which was announced a little while ago before being successfully funded via Kickstarter, serves to deliver the high-stakes, merc-driven adventures of the TTRPG and, more specifically, the video game, to fans of the format. It's packed full of great art and unique mechanics that fans can see for themselves first-hand during the upcoming series of Beta playtests happening all over the world. The Beta event is taking place between September 10 and September 17, 2026, which is a few months before the TCG's official release on November 6, 2026.
Those who are interested in partaking in the event merely need to head over to the official Cyberpunk TCG website and check out its Beta Event guide. You can see via its Store Locater whether an LGS near you is participating in the event. Players won't need any Cyberpunk 2077 TCG cards to get involved, but will need to purchase a Beta Event Kit which will include everything they need to build a deck and get started playing against other participants. While a price for the kit hasn't been announced, here's everything you'll get inside it:
-
Six Welcome to Night City Beta Booster Packs
-
Three additional random Legend cards to help with deck construction
-
A Beta Kit Mantis Blades Promo card
-
A full set of Cyberpunk TCG Polyhedral Dice (D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20)
Fans can expect to see a number of legendary characters appear in the packs they open, including the likes of Adam Smasher, Jackie Welles, Alt Cunningham, Panam, and more. The beta playtest event will be followed by the pre-release event happening in October, and, of course, the full release in November. So, those who can't attend this specific event or don't have an LGS nearby that is taking part, don't worry, as the Cyberpunk 2077 TCG will make its way to you eventually.
