A huge Love Island star has snubbed ITV's offer to return to the villa for their All Stars spin-off as they confessed that the 'sight of it gave him anxiety'.

Wes Nelson, 26, rose to fame during the 2018 series of ITV2 dating show Love Island when he sparked a romance with Megan Barton-Hanson and finished in fourth place.

Wes and Megan split just five months later, and the TV personality turned musician is now smitten in a new relationship.

While the star may be in a relationship, ITV still reached out to Wes and asked him to join their upcoming All Stars series.

Speaking to FUBAR Radio, he said: 'They said would you consider it? And I spoke to them, and I said, obviously, I'm in a relationship, and I just don't think I'm down to do it anymore.'

'I don't think I could, you know when I went and performed with Craig [David], just even being in the villa and the smells and the sight of everything, I got anxiety'

Wes then opened up about his online trolling but confessed that he now finds them 'dead funny' and has a laugh with his girlfriend.

He said: 'I do get them, don't get me wrong, I get some and I find it dead funny.

'Like, I show my missus, or I show whoever I'm with. I'm just like, some of them are really creative.

'I'm not inviting people to do creative slander now, but at the same time, it's strange that it's real people. But what they don't understand is we're real people sometimes.

'And I think sometimes I've responded to stuff, and they're like, 'Oh my God. I didn't think you'd actually see this'.

'I'm just like, why send it? Yeah, I've got quite thick skin, but I know some people don't.'

After finding fame on Love Island in 2018, Wes turned to music and is now a mutimillionaire.

He is currently signed to international label Sony Music Entertainment which he told fans would soon lead to his own record label, Foot Down Records.

This would allow him to release music independently while still receiving support from Sony.

Wes is known for his songs Nice To Meet Ya, See Nobody, and Abracadabra with Craig David.

He returned to Love Island in February 2023 for the programme's first ever All Stars series and was joined by Craig whilst he risked an awkward run-in with his ex Arabella Chi.

In March, Wes admitted he was 'not thinking about his ex' when he made the appearance.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, at the Lynx fragrance event in London, Wes revealed he was 'focused on sounding great' and was not 'bothered' about seeing his former flame.
