Tips For Better (Effortless) Brows, According To A Celeb Brow ExpertCourtesy of Sania's Brow Bar

While many 2016 trends are coming back in 2026, something we should leave far in the past are infamous blocky brows. We should not go back to torturing our poor brow hairs with bricks of thick product—no, thank you!

Natural brows are so in. And it should stay that way, according to celebrity brow expert Sania Vucetaj, the founder of NYC brow salon and brand, Sania's Brow Bar.

Sania gave us a sneak peek into her brow method, tips on how to keep up brow maintenance, and which brow products to use. Keep reading to shop her tips and product recommendations.

Tips For Shaping Eyebrows

For Sania, less is always more. Don't fall victim to brow trends, and remove too much hair too quickly. We've all been there, but don't make it a habit.

"Your brows should complement your natural face shape, not fight against it," Sania said. "My advice is to step back, look at the full picture, and resist the urge to over-tweeze. And please, get rid of the magnifying mirror—it's your worst enemy." Oh, and don't forget to brush up your brows. "It makes such a difference."

Keeping Up With Brow Maintenance

"I tell my clients to trust the process and be patient," Sania said. "Brows are not a one-and-done situation—they need consistent, gentle upkeep over time."

She always recommends regular appointments, so our brows can be shaped gradually over time. Resist the temptation of tweezers unless you absolutely have to. And when you do, of course, there's an art to it.

Sania's Brow Bar Slant Tip Tweezers

If you simply must tweeze, Sania recommends penciling your brows in and then using tweezers to pluck outside of those lines. "This prevents any over tweezing, and by using our tweezers, you prevent any ingrowns and pull at the root [as they are designed to do]," she said.

Revlon Expert Slant Tweezer

At a pinch, these stainless steel slanted Revlon tweezers will do the trick—especially when they're rated with over 47K, near-perfect reviews.

Sania's Brow Bar Precision Blade Scissors

For trimming, Sania's advice is the same: pencil in your brows first and trim the excess, that way you're never accidentally cutting your hair too short. "Our Precision Blade Scissors trim in one easy swoop—leaving behind a clean trim and no unevenness," she said.

Tweezerman Eyebrow Shaping Scissors and Brush

Don't forget to have a brow brush handy when you're shaping your brows. This Tweezerman set includes a mini brush and curved scissors with thin blades that will do the job just right.

What Is Best For Brows: Pencil, Gel, Pomade, or Powder?

Sania got real with us; she doesn't believe in gels or pomades. "They're damaging to the brow hairs and ultimately cause them to shed over time," she said. "I've seen it again and again with my clients."

Instead, she recommends opting for brow pencils that are powder-based. "Keep it simple, keep it gentle, and your brows will thank you."
