A Thin Wallet With a Strong Hold

Bluebonnet Minimalist Full-Grain Leather MagSafe Wallet Card Holder

MagSafe wallets can add bulk to the back of your phone, which can make it uncomfortable to hold—especially when you add cards. Bluebonnet's wallet is super thin, even with cards inside, so it feels flush. It also comes with an elastic grip you can put your fingers through to hold the phone more securely. The magnets are stronger than other wallets I've tested too, although the bottom moves a bit when using the grip.

Bluebonnet claims it can fit up to three cards, but I've only been able to fit two (my license and debit card). It's a struggle to insert or remove more than that.

    Fits 2 cards comfortably.

Other Good MagSafe Wallets

I've tested several MagSafe wallets, but not every model deserves a top spot. Here are a few others that do the job but aren't as good as our top picks above.

ESR Magnetic Wallet HaloLock With Find My for $38: Like Apple's MagSafe wallet, this one has Find My support. You can use the flap on the back as a grip and fit two cards easily. It does require recharging, which is annoying, but after six months, it didn't lose much battery life. Still, recharging requires a proprietary cable, so don't lose it. And do you really want to recharge your wallet?

Avoid These Wallets

Not all MagSafe wallets we've tested are worth it—even if they have some redeeming qualities.

Ohsnap! Snap Grip Wallet for $80: I had high hopes for this one, mainly because of its build quality. The wallet is aluminum, can hold up to eight cards (depending on if they're lettered or not), has MagSafe support, and comes with a grip that doubles as a kickstand. Unfortunately, the grip is made of plastic, and it broke after a short time (it won't fold properly back into place). The magnetic hold isn't as strong as other MagSafe wallets either, even with a MagSafe-approved case on my phone. None of that is great, especially at this high price.
