7 Little Johnstons star Anna Johnston flashes smile in mugshot as she's arrested for DUI

Anna Johnston of the reality series 7 Little Johnstons was arrested on Saturday in Houston County, Georgia in connection with driving under the influence.

Johnston, 26, who smiled in a mug shot taken following the arrest, was released on a $1,563 bond, according to jail records from the Houston County Sheriff's Office viewed by The Daily Mail.

Johnston had been in a parked 2022 Ford Escape on the highway while her boyfriend Jeffrey Meservey, 44, was outside of the vehicle in the rain when authorities approached the scene, police said in a report reviewed by The US Sun.

Meservey, whose cousin was also in the vehicle, 'was upset due to Anna driving them around with alcohol in her system,' police said in the report.

He had been contacting friends to pick them up, authorities said in the report.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Johnston and the Houston County Sheriff's Office for further comment on the story.

Meservey's reluctance to stay in the vehicle with Johnston led them 'to argue and ultimately pull the vehicle to the shoulder,' police said in the report.

The officer wrote in the report that upon their arrival, Meservey 'was on the phone with a friend asking them to come pick the three of them up so that Anna would not have to drive any further.'

Johnston said that she and Meservey had a conflict over the suggested GPS routes, police said in the report.

'She wanted to take back roads while Jeffrey wanted to take the interstate,' authorities said in the report.

Police said in the report that Johnston was asked to exit the vehicle, adding that 'she had slurred speech' that was evident during their discussion.

A separate officer, after reviewing Meservey's license, discovered 'that he had a warrant out of Bibb County,' at which point Meservey was taken into custody, according to the report.

Meservey's cousin told authorities that Johnston 'had a shot of an alcoholic beverage approximately an hour prior to this incident,' the report stated.

Police said in the report that amid 'a strong odor of alcohol emitting from the vehicle,' Johnston continually denied having consumed alcohol, as she had 'slurred speech' and was 'unsteady on her feet.'

Authorities said in the report that as the rain ceased, they 'noticed the odor of alcohol emitting from Anna's person' and requested she submit to a field sobriety test.

During the test, Johnston struggled to focus with her gaze; stand still on one leg; and fully complete the walk and turn part of the test, police said in the report.

Police said that in a breathalyzer test, Johnston registered a BAC score of .139, surpassing Georgia's legal limit of .08, at which point she was taken into custody.

Meservey remained in custody in Bibb County Jail in connection with 13 counts of forgery, according to jail records reviewed by The Daily Mail.

Anna appeared on 74 episodes of the reality series 7 Little Johnstons from 2017–2025, departing the series after the 16th season amid family disputes.
