For spring 2026 fashion trends, designers are focused on expanding classic silhouettes and colors to uncharted territory — a soft departure from the crazed fads we saw dominate the 2025 spring/summer season (hello, labubus). For the New York Fashion Week shows that ran from Sept. 11 to Sept. 17, designers provided a slew of inspiration for our wardrobes next spring, even though looks won't hit stores until six months from now. Fortunately, you can start wearing these trends immediately — even as the fall solstice comes at a lightning speed.

The Big Apple's most prominent fashion houses enlisted major stars to flaunt their innovations for the upcoming season, including "Love Island USA" star Olandria Carthen, who walked Sergio Hudson's runway in a cheetah ensemble. Other models like Slick Woods strutted in LaQuan Smith's edgy, car-inspired show in an oversize orange coat and red boots, showcasing the power of color. And of course, household names like Christian Siriano adorned his models in extravagant gowns (and a notable Capri Sun bag that proved nostalgia is still a key factor in dressing for spring). Kim Shui and Jane Wade also gave standout presentations, taking over One World Observatory and a Brooklyn warehouse, respectively, and cementing power skirts as a major trend.

Ahead, explore and shop the spring 2026 trends we're most excited about (and ones that our editors have already started wearing), and keep an eye out for three more cities chock-full of designer shows, street style stars, and more as the fashion crowd moves on to London, Milan, and Paris.
