56 Days is a dark and suspenseful mystery that unfolds over eight episodes, beautifully brought to life by a talented cast. The story itself is adapted from a novel of the same name by author Catherine Ryan Howard. The name refers to the story's timeline, which opens in a present-day setting and switches back and forth between events 56 days earlier.
In the present, two homicide detectives are assigned to investigate an unidentified body that has decomposed in a bathtub full of chemicals. Then, the story reveals the two central figures of the story, Ciara Wyse and Oliver Kennedy, who appear to be at the center of this horrific crime, though it's unclear what exactly happened and to whom.
