In over three years at Collider, senior author Jake has now penned over 2500 articles covering a wide range of TV and film for the resources, lists, utilities, news, and interview teams. Alongside interviewing stars such as Selin Hizli, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Harlan Coben, and Chelsea Peretti, Jake was lucky enough to visit the set of Aardman and Netflix's Wallace and Gromit: A Vengeance Most Fowl in 2024, getting the chance to chat with four-time Academy Award winner Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham. Jake has also worked for other publications, including Agents of Fandom.
March is serving up audiences a violent treat by order of the Peaky Blinders, as the long-awaited feature-length next installment in the series finally arrives four years after the series ended. The iconic Birmingham street gang hits the movies on March 6 in theaters, before heading to Netflix on March 20. Cillian Murphy will return seemingly for the last time to don his flat cap as Tommy Shelby, supported by an eye-catching cast of new and returning faces.
Among those new arrivals, the most exciting are Rebecca Ferguson and Barry Keoghan, with the latter starring as Duke Shelby, the son of Tommy, who is described as a "firecracker" with an important role to play in the story. This isn't the first time we've seen Duke, who last appeared in Season 6. But now all grown up and portrayed by one of the best actors of his generation, fans will be excited to see how he will impact this feature-length bloodbath.
As part of Collider's Exclusive Spring Preview event, and by order of Netflix, we're bringing you an exclusive sneak peek from the upcoming movie, showcasing Keoghan in action as he channels his inner Shelby. Other new faces on the cast sheet include Tim Roth and Jay Lycurgo, with Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, Ian Peck, and Stephen Graham returning to the series. Written by series creator Steven Knight and directed by Tom Harper, a synopsis for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man reads:
"Birmingham, 1940. Amidst the chaos of WWII, Tommy Shelby is driven back from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet. With the future of the family and the country at stake, Tommy must face his own demons, and choose whether to confront his legacy, or burn it to the ground. By order of the Peaky Blinders…"

Barry Keoghan's Inspiration for Duke Shelby Will Surprise You
You would be forgiven for assuming Keoghan would look to other gritty historical series for inspiration when creating his character in The Immortal Man. However, according to the man himself in a previous interview, he instead took to Disney's Pride Lands to find a spark, saying, "Being a father myself, I really did relate to Duke, because there’s this cry for his father and this cry for the figure that he needs to be there. In the way that Simba follows his dad in The Lion King. It’s as simple as that." He continued, "Honestly! The Lion King was one of the ones that, for me, had that animalistic, father and son approach to it."
