The PS team is always first to try out the latest home workouts, fitness gear, and activewear launches. So, when we had the opportunity to test the Reebok X Set Legacy Essentials Collection, we jumped at the chance.

We love to see a classic brand like Reebok collaborate with Set, a cool female-founded activewear label based in Los Angeles and founded by Lindsey Carter. Their monocromatic matching sets may have popped up in your social media feed thanks to their inclusive and passionate Instagram community that includes fans like Kaia Gerber. As an LA resident, I can confirm Set is the go-to brand for effortlessly put-together girls on their way to a hike followed by smoothie — you know, the girls who always have the right quarter socks on.

Set is known for their drops that sell out quickly and this one is no different, with items figuratively flying off the shelves soon after they were released. So, is the new collab worth the hype? Four PS staffers put Reebok x Set's limited-edition collection to the test, seeing how they hold up during a wide variety of workouts, including Pilates and strength training at the gym. Read on for our honest reviews.

Reebok x Set Formcloud Tribute Tank Top, Formcloud 7/8 High-Rise Leggings, and BB 4000 II Shoes

Reebok x Set Formcloud Tribute Tank Top ($65), Reebok x Set Formcloud 7/8 High-Rise Leggings ($77), and Reebok x Set BB 4000 II Shoes ($110)

"I love this set for running errands around the city or for a low-impact workout day with barre or Pilates. The light blue colorway is beautiful and brings about a much-needed dopamine hit for those early morning sweat sessions.

The tank is supportive for even us larger-chested girls, offering a built-in bra and racerback straps for additional support. The leggings have a soft, yet durable feel and withstood all of the pliés, squatting and jumping in my barre fusion cardio class. Plus, pairing this set with the iconic BB 4000 IIs made me feel like an off-duty ballerina. And I love that the look can take me right from class to my favorite coffee shop for a post-workout treat." — Alexis Jones, senior editor, Health and Fitness

Reebok x Set Classic Vintage Quarter Zip, Rise Bra, and BB 4000 II ShoesPS Photography | Genevieve Farrell

Reebok x Set Classic Vintage Quarter Zip, Rise Bra, and BB 4000 II Shoes

Reebok x Set Classic Vintage Quarter Zip ($125), Reebok x Set Rise Bra ($57), Reebok x Set Formcloud 7/8 High-Rise Leggings ($77), and Reebok x Set BB 4000 II Shoes ($110)

"I'm all about layers for workouts, so I tried out a quarter zip, the Rise Bra, and high-rise leggings. The quarter zip is the perfect fall layer. It's lightweight, 100% cotton, and kept me cozy but not too warm when I tested it out during a low-impact Meta Quest Supernatural workout. The inside feels slightly like terry cloth and the fit is oversized to allow for easy movement.

Working in fitness videos for nearly a decade, I've tried every pair of leggings under the moon and was seriously impressed with the Formclouds. They are high waisted and offer medium compression. What stood out to me is there are no side or front seams. Instead, the seams run in the inner thigh. I'm not sure what magic that is but they were so incredibly flattering. They also were very comfortable for every type of lunge and squat variation at Solidcore. The shoes required no breaking in and will be an go-to for walks and low impact exercises." — Genevieve Farrell, director of Fitness and Wellness Video

Reebok x Set Rise Bra, Bike Shorts, and BB 4000 II ShoesPS Photography | Jordan Shalhoub

Reebok x Set Rise Bra ($57), Reebok x Set Bike Short ($63), and Reebok x Set BB 4000 II Shoes ($110)

"Who doesn't love a cute new matching workout set? I tried the Reebok x Set biker shorts paired with the Rise Bra in their navy color, called Legend. First impressions were that the set fit true to size (something to celebrate when it comes to workout clothes!) and was incredibly comfortable. It had just the right amount of compression and the cuts on both items were very flattering. I love the shape of the bra — it's simple but stylish — and because I have chronic neck pain, I actually prefer sports bras with straps that go straight back over a racerback style.

Their Formcloud fabric was super soft and felt great against my skin but was a little thick and more cotton-like, which meant it was slightly warmer and sweatier than I prefer my workout sets. I might skip this set for a summer workout but it will definitely become a go-to for my weekends filled with dog walking and running errands. Especially with the matching basketball shoes, which don't just make the outfit cuter but are also very comfortable and supportive!" — Jordan Shalhoub, lead social content producer

"This set is such a flattering color, and the compression level makes the whole outfit feel really supportive. So far, I've worn it through a Pilates class, and I haven't felt the leggings rolling down, or the top slipping at all. The double layered top is giving me early aughts flashbacks to my layering spaghetti strap era (in a good way)." — Hitomi Demers, video producer, Fitness
