30 Strongest One Piece Devil Fruits, Ranked (So Far)

1 hour ago 14

Even with the introduction of Haki and the increased focus on it going into the Final Saga, devil fruits are still an integral part of One Piece and its power dynamics. The position of devil fruits within the series has been further solidified with the concept of devil fruit awakenings and awakened abilities such as Gear Five.

That said, since Wano and the revelation of the Nika Fruit, One Piece has gone on to introduce even more broken devil fruits like Bonney's Age-Age Fruit, Loki's Nidhoggr Fruit, and Imu's ominous, unspecified ability simply dubbed The Devil's Fruit. As such, while there are many exceptionally powerful figures like Rocks D. Xebec, Gol D. Roger, Kozuki Oden, Garp, and Shanks who do not possess devil fruits, they still remain quite relevant in One Piece, and will likely determine how the series' finale plays out.

30 Slow-Slow Fruit (Noro Noro no Mi)

Type: Paramecia, User: Foxy

One Piece's Foxy and his crew laugh at Luffy.

Now, while not everyone has come to like Foxy the Silver Fox, nor the arc he was featured in, he did display some pretty astonishing (if not frustrating) abilities that proved he was quite capable against even the strongest of the Straw Hat Pirates. By manipulating their target through a beam, Foxy could slow down an object or a person.

While initially not that impressive, one has to wonder what would happen if someone who is combat-intensive, like Zoro or Sanji, had this devil fruit instead. Through training and dedication, the Slow-Slow Fruit could prove itself to be deadly, trapping opponents in a never-ending cycle of progression where minutes, hours, even days could pass before they land a single hit.

29 Barrier-Barrier Fruit (Bari Bari no Mi)

Type: Paramecia; User: Bartolomeo

Bartolomeo using his Devil Fruit

The Barrier-Barrier Fruit is a Paramecia devil fruit eaten by Bartolomeo, a Super Rookie who commands the second ship of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. Bartolomeo can use the Barrier-Barrier Fruit to create barriers around himself and others, and the barriers can even be remade into various shapes like spheres and staircases.

While it's only made a handful of appearances in One Piece, the Barrier-Barrier Fruit is easily one of the strongest devil fruits in the series. There has yet to be any attack capable of so much as cracking Bartolomeo's barriers, and it's to the point that not even Oden, someone stronger than Kaido, could overcome the Barrier-Barrier Fruit.

28 Brush-Brush Fruit (Fude Fude no Mi)

Type: Paramecia, User: Kurozumi Kanjuro

Kurozumi Kanjuro

Previously owned by the Wano soldier, Kurozumi, Kanjuro, the Brush-Brush Fruit allows for its user to manipulate ink generated from their bodies, and by using a brush, their drawings will come to life no matter how atrocious the final product. Originally, it was believed that Kanjuro was a pretty bad artist, making his creations less than formidable.

But in reality, he was concealing his talent. Kanjuro’s art, when brought to life, could perform extraordinary feats, replicating people to a tee, projecting his voice to act as messengers, and allegedly could prolong death if the user could transfer their consciousness. Oda’s One Piece is an odd world where just about anything can happen.

Placed in the hands of a true artist who could awaken the astounding abilities of the Brush-Brush Fruit could go on to carry out legendary feats.

27 Gas-Gas Fruit (Gasu Gasu no Mi)

Type: Logia, User: Caesar Clown

Caesar using the Gas-Gas Fruit

The Gas-Gas Fruit is a Logia devil fruit eaten by Caesar Clown, Doctor Vegapunk's evil former partner who created the artificial devil fruits known as SMILEs. As the name would imply, the Gas-Gas Fruit lets Caesar turn into and manipulate any and all gases, and it's often used in conjunction with Caesar's chemical weapons.

While Caesar was never that powerful of a villain, that doesn't make the Gas-Gas Fruit any less powerful. In addition to the typical perks of intangibility provided by Logia fruits, Caesar's Gas-Gas Fruit can be used to poison and suffocate anyone who gets too close to him, allowing him to easily incapacitate enemies far above him in power.

If the Gas-Gas Fruit was used by someone more competent, it would have easily given one of the best performances of any devil fruit, but even in Caesar's hands, it's still incredibly powerful.

26 Sand-Sand Fruit (Suna Suna no Mi)

Type: Logia, User: Crocodile

Crocodile creates a twister from sand at Marineford in One Piece.

The deadly and versatile Sand Fruit proved capable of devastating the desert country of Alabasta by causing sandstorms and extreme droughts. It allows its user to control and transform one's body into sand, plus the ability to drain moisture nearly killed Luffy several times and was virtually unbeatable for anyone without Haki or moisture-infused attacks.

Crocodile showcased his Fruit's incredible versatility during The War of the Best by flying around the battlefield and holding his own against some of the world's strongest pirates, like Whitebeard and Doflamingo. With the former Straw Hat foe now a leading member of Buggy's Cross Guild, fans will see more of the Sand Fruit in action before One Piece's end.

25 Huge-Huge Fruit (Deka Deka no Mi)

Type: Paramecia, User: Sanjuan Wolf

One Piece Sanjuan Wolf

The Blackbeard Pirates have specifically hunted down many of the One Piece world's strongest devil fruits, making them a colossal threat to nearly everyone in the series' final arcs. Without question, the largest fighter on the team is the giant among giants, Sanjuan Wolf.

Eating the Huge-Huge Fruit allowed the giant to adjust his size, making Sanjuan the size of a several-story building or as large as a mountain capable of standing in the ocean. It's currently unclear what the limits of the Huge-Huge Fruit are, but it's already proved capable of considerable destruction.

24 Strong-Strong Fruit (Riki Riki no Mi)

Type: Paramecia, User: Jesus Burgess

Jesus Burgess clashes powers with Luffy in One Piece-1

If devil fruit powers were to be measured by simple, plain strength, then the winner would surely be Jesus Burgess's Strong-Strong Fruit. During manga chapter #1063, Burgess casually lifts a mountain to throw at his foes.

While the limitations of the power have yet to be explored, for a devil fruit with such a name, it likely grants the user as much brute strength as they need to accomplish their goal, such as throwing a mountain or breaking swords.

23 Twinkle-Twinkle Fruit (Kira Kira no Mi)

Type: Paramecia, User: Diamond Jozu

Screenshot from One Piece anime shows Twinkle Devil Fruit user Diamond Jozu using his power to cover most of his body in unbreakable diamonds.

The Paramount War saw the Whitebeard Pirates and many of the world's strongest fighters clashing, spoiling audiences with several shocking displays of power. Many of the arc's most significant attacks from powerhouses like Mihawk and Admiral Akainu failed to get past the defenses of Whitebeard Commander Jozu's Twinkle-Twinkle Fruit.

By covering his entire body with diamonds, Jozu became unbreakable, allowing him to withstand any attack and reflect damage as he led his men into battle. Combined with his considerable strength, he could freely toss huge icebergs, showing that Jozu was a formidable force for anyone to reckon with.

22 Sick-Sick Fruit (Shiku Shiku no Mi)

Type: Paramecia, User: Doc Q

One Piece Doc Q

The Sick-Sick Fruit is often overlooked, mainly because its user, Doc Q, is not in the best state of health himself, making it seem like the devil fruit is as dangerous to its user as it is to other opponents. And while his weapon, the double-sided scythe, seems to allude to that, Doc’s past suggests he was born chronically ill.

The fruit can be quite dangerous since it doesn’t have to afflict people with disease through touch, but can extend quite far into becoming an area of contamination, as seen by the Heart Pirates when they were turned into women. This also suggests it doesn’t have to be a harmful disease, but something that could distract or debuff one’s opponents.

The Sick-Sick Fruit is often utilized given Doc Q’s illness, but in the hands of someone healthy, it could easily become just as deadly, if not more so, than the Venom-Venom Fruit.

21 Rumble-Rumble Fruit (Goro Goro no Mi)

Type: Logia, User: Enel

Enel displaying his electrical powers in One Piece (3)

The Rumble-Rumble Fruit is an electricity-based Logia-type devil fruit that can deliver power output just as great as Kaido's devil fruit. It also provides the user with an absurd amount of abilities. Like all Logia devil fruits, the Rumble-Rumble Fruit allows a user to become intangible, becoming outright invincible to foes that don't yet possess Haki.

Through the Rumble-Rumble Fruit's powers, Enel can travel great distances in the blink of an eye, control the weather to an extent, and even use the heat from his lightning-based body to reforge weapons. The user can also use their nearly limitless electrical energy supply to power large machines and weapons.

It is often believed that the only reason why Enel was defeated is that he found his "natural enemy" in Luffy, a human made of rubber, which is a material immune to electricity. Also, Enel relied on his devil fruit powers too much, was arrogant and cocky, and clearly never developed his abilities to their extreme.
