3 'Search Party' (2016–2022)
Rotten Tomatoes: 96% | IMDb: 7.6/10
One of the most underrated dark comedies currently available on Netflix, 2016's Search Party follows Dory Sief (Alia Shawkat), who, after noticing a missing person poster depicting college mate Chantal Witherbottom (Clare McNulty), joins forces with her friends and boyfriend to try and solve the disappearance, hoping it will bring meaning to her life.
Sporting a near-perfect 96% score from critics on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes for good reason, this clever dark comedy is as thrilling as it is hilarious. Five seasons, each boasting 10 episodes, are available right now for your viewing pleasure, with this an ideal binge-watch to begin this weekend and take into the rest of your February.
2 'The Lincoln Lawyer' (2022—Present)
Rotten Tomatoes: 90% | IMDb: 7.8/10
It would be impossible to recommend three Netflix shows and not suggest a binge of the weekend's most exciting returning series. The Lincoln Lawyer, based on the books by Michael Connelly, follows lawyer Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), who takes his practice on the road from the back seat of his Lincoln. However, this unorthodox method is about to blend his professional and personal lives in unexpected ways.
Sure to fight its way to the upper echelons of the Netflix streaming charts with the release of Season 4, there is no better time to begin your deep dive into the world of The Lincoln Lawyer than this weekend. Not to be confused with Matthew McConaughey’s 2011 adaptation of the same name, this legal drama has all the components of your next favorite binge-watch.
1 'The Flash' (2014–2023)
Rotten Tomatoes: 85% | IMDb: 7.5/10
Fancy some superhero action in your life this weekend? Look no further than The Flash. Developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns, this adaptation of the DC Comics tale follows Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), whose life is changed forever after being hit by lightning. Awaking from his coma, Barry discovers he has the power of super speed and must put this to good use in his city.
It was recently revealed that more than 198 million hours of The Flash were watched between July and December, proving just how popular this show is even three years after its end. A Primetime Emmy-nominated series with countless great episodes, it's true that The Flash might have dipped in quality towards the end, but let that take nothing away from the fast-paced, detailed thrills of its opening few seasons.
