If your trusty NutriBullet Original has seen better days but you can't justify the cost or loss of counter space that a Vitamix blender would require, you have to try our latest kitchen gadget obsession: the Beast Mini Blender ($99). The blender has fans ranging from home influencers to fitness icons like Ally Love, all of whom rave about its ease, power, and aesthetic. After three of our shopping editors received their own to test, they determined whether the blender lives up to the hype.

About the Beast Mini Blender

The blender's base has a 600-watt motor that can create ridiculously creamy blends in less than two minutes. While it can pump out a silky smoothie, it can also be used to grind, chop, mince, whip, and juice, which adds to its versatility in the kitchen. The compact design is small enough to accommodate any countertop and packs easily. You can even drink your smoothie straight out of the blending container by switching out the blade piece with the included leak-proof drinking lid and straw.

If you've experienced other blenders that give off a burned plastic smell while blending, you'll appreciate that the Mini Blender has a patented thermal safety sensor that helps to keep it from overheating by monitoring the internal temperature of the ingredients. To keep it simple and easy to operate, there's just a single button. You can choose between a pulse-blend function or a hands-free blend, depending on how long you hold the button.

What's Included:

  • 60-watt base
  • Blade assembly
  • 640mL blending cup
  • Storage lid
  • Drinking lid
  • Straw cap
  • Two straws

Our three shopping editors used the Mini Blender to create concoctions ranging from protein smoothies to salad dressing, and divulged their honest thoughts. Keep reading to discover their favorite features and the rating they think the Mini Blender deserves.

"While function is obviously a factor, I can't overstate how well designed and beautiful this little blender is. From the fluted vessel to the gorgeous color choices and coordinating cord, it might be the one kitchen appliance I don't hate to leave on my countertop.

Looks aside, it also works like a dream. I use it to blend smoothies almost daily and appreciate how it automatically slows down to allow for the frozen fruit and other ingredients to shift and settle before the automatic sensor revs up again.

While I've struggled with the lack of power on some of my previous compact blenders, this one has a small but mighty motor. In fact, it blends so well that I sometimes like to use the single button to pulse it instead of leaving it on the automatic blend feature to get more texture. I also use it to batch prep homemade salad dressing for the week, as well as cremas for tacos and other sauces. It's so easy to take apart and stick in the dishwasher when I'm finished. I honestly couldn't recommend it more." — Angela Elias, contributing editor, Shopping

"While I do love the on-the-go nature of my Ninja Blast Portable Blender, the Beast Blender made me fall back in love with a plug-in for so many reasons. First of all, the strength is undeniable and it never runs out of power or has to be charged. I also love how easy it is to twist off the top once my beverage is fully mixed, and twist on the sip cap to begin drinking. I appreciate that the machine won't start until all pieces are fully secure and locked, as other blenders I've tried cause a huge mess when liquid leaks out without warning.

From an aesthetic standpoint, I love the chic colors this blender comes in — terracotta is a personal favorite shade I use throughout my home, so it was no question that would be my pick. I use my Beast daily, whether it's for whipping up a frozen coffee or protein smoothie with some greens, avocado, and berries." — Sarah Wasilak, associate content director, Shopping

"I use my Beast Mini Blender nearly every day for my morning smoothies, and I love how powerful yet streamlined it is. For starters, the blades are super sharp and can handle slicing and dicing everything from fibrous greens to frozen fruit. Plus, its speed and motor pulverize everything into a smooth consistency. I live in an apartment with limited counter and storage space, so I love that the mini model has the same power as its full-size counterpart, but without the added space.

Other apartment-friendly blenders I've used in the past aren't able to deliver that creamy consistency, but instead have random chunks left over, which makes for an unpleasant smoothie experience. It performs as well as a higher-end model like a Vitamix, but without the clunky design.

Unlike other blenders on the market, this has simple controls: a pulse mode or a blend mode. I sometimes use the pulse mode to grind down greens or fruits if I fill it to the brim or if there are too many textures, but I usually let it sit on blend mode while making my morning coffee. The Mini Beast Blender is also probably one of the chicest kitchen appliances I own, and guests always ask about it." — Anvita Reddy, assistant editor, Shopping
