Netflix just added three new shows that are built to binge-watch this weekend, June 26–28, 2026, including action thrillers and a family-friendly docuseries. Even though there are so many new series to start watching this weekend, including Netflix's #1 show worldwide, I Will Find You, these three shows are the latest and greatest of what the world's largest streaming platform has to offer.
Last week on Netflix, some of the best shows to watch included all five seasons of The Last Ship, a military-themed action thriller with a dystopian sci-fi element, and season 2 of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the live-action remake of the masterful animated series. While those shows are absolutely worth checking out, and remain two of the most popular streaming options heading into this weekend, the following three series offer a little something for everyone on Netflix.
Agent Kim Reactivated
The series premiere of Agent Kim Reactivated just arrived on Netflix on Friday, June 26. The 10-part limited series will be released in weekly installments, with episode 2 arriving on Saturday, June 27, and subsequent episodes debuting every Friday and Saturday throughout July 2026. Agent Kim Reactivated stars So Ji-sub, best known for Mercy For None, as a single father and a former secret agent who is forced to come out of retirement after his daughter suddenly goes missing.
This action-packed K-drama series is perfect for fans of gritty crime thrillers with comedic elements. Liam Neeson's iconic Taken movies are a good comparison to Agent Kim Reactivated, as the main narrative is centered around a father who is highly trained in combat and is desperately searching for his daughter. Although critics have yet to review the series on Rotten Tomatoes, this series is worth checking out if you're looking for something to return to on Netflix over the next few weekends.
Salish & Jordan Matter
Netflix subscribers looking for something family-friendly to watch at home this weekend should check out Salish & Jordan Matter, a fun and entertaining docuseries that is incredibly easy to binge. With just seven episodes, each between 24 and 34 minutes long, Salish & Jordan Matter follows an internet-famous father and daughter duo who take on extreme challenges. Rated TV-PG, this series is perfect for kids and is currently #8 on Netflix's worldwide streaming charts.
Salish Matter and her father, Jordan, have amassed billions of views through their YouTube channel, which has 36.7 million subscribers and 584 videos at the time of writing. As such, the Netflix series feels very much like the hundreds of videos you can also find online, remixing some of the best moments from their content. Parents who are looking for an immersive and feel-good show for their children this weekend should watch Salish & Jordan Matter on Netflix.
Notes From The Last Row
Another great streaming option on Netflix this weekend is the new 6-part mystery thriller series Notes From the Last Row. The limited series follows a failed novelist and literature professor who discovers that one of his students is incredibly talented at writing. He offers the student writing lessons and soon finds himself entrenched within his protégé's story, which eventually has chaotic consequences. The series just premiered on Netflix on Friday, June 26, and all six episodes are available to stream now.
Netflix Just Added One Of TV’s Most Underrated 5-Season Action Thrillers
Netflix just added one of the most underrated yet addictive action thriller series in modern TV history, with all five seasons ready to binge tonight.
Critics gave Notes From the Last Row strong reviews across the board. But Why Tho? gave the series 8.5/10 stars, noting, "From its many twists and turns to the astounding character study delivered by Choi Min-sik, Notes from the Last Row is a slowburn ride that will leave you guessing until the end." If you love suspense-driven thriller series that build to a satisfying conclusion, and series that you can start and finish in just a few sittings, or even one, then Notes from the Last Row is our best recommendation for a new show to watch on Netflix this weekend.
