This also holds true for Webtoon's romance pickings, which can range from Bridgerton-esque historical romances such as Miss Pendleton to classic villainess stories like Your Throne. All that said, Webtoon may currently be sitting on the best new romance series in the making, and it brings together a power-duo of creators.
Webtoon May Already Have the Best New Romance Manhwa of 2026
Lee Yeon, the creator behind multiple hit webtoons such as Surviving Romance, The Makeup Remover, and many more recently returned with a brand new romance series illustrated by none other than Jagae, the artist behind yet another major hit, I Tamed My Ex-Husband's Mad Dog.
The new series, which is titled Be a Bad Boy, debuted on Naver Webtoon on February 2, 226, with six chapters out so far and brings the same gorgeous character designs that fans know and love from I Tamed My Ex-Husband's Mad Dog with Lee Yeon cooking up yet another intriguing premise.

Essentially, the series follows Suyeon, who, after dating the bad boy Han Heeju, finds herself discontent with her new boyfriend, Shin Jehyeon, even though he's kind and gentle in every way. Unlike Heeju who treated her badly, Jehyeon takes good care of Suyeon at every turn.
Yet, she finds herself wishing he'd be more like the toxic male leads from webtoons. This wish unexpectedly comes true when Jehyeon is seemingly possessed by the spirit of a bad boy.
Webtoon Needs to Fix Its Licensing Delays
With only six chapters, it's still early to tell where the plot will go. But, with Lee Yeon's writing there's no denying Be a Bad Boy has promise. If nothing else, then the series at least has the potential to be a guilty pleasure read with the eye-candy art by Jagae.
That said, it's unclear when the series will officially make its way to Webtoon with an English translation, or whether it will be licensed by Webtoon at all in the West. While Webtoon and other major publishers have heavily cracked down on piracy in the last year alone, issues with licensing delays still stand.
As such, it could take up to a whole year or more until Be a Bad Boy is officially licensed, and until then, sadly, the millions of fans of its creators have no way to read the series in a way that supports these fan-favorite creators.
