Chris is a Senior News Writer for Collider. He can be found in an IMAX screen, with his eyes watering and his ears bleeding for his own pleasure. He joined the news team in 2022 and accidentally fell upwards into a senior position despite his best efforts.

For reasons unknown, he enjoys analyzing box office receipts, giant sharks, and has become known as the go-to man for all things BoschMission: Impossible and Christopher Nolan in Collider's news division. Recently, he found himself yeehawing along to the Dutton saga on the Yellowstone Ranch.

He is proficient in sarcasm, wit, Photoshop and working unfeasibly long hours. Amongst his passions sit the likes of the history of the Walt Disney Company, the construction of theme parks, steam trains and binge-watching Gilmore Girls with a coffee that is just hot enough to scald him.

His obsession with the Apple TV+ series Silo is the subject of mockery within the Senior News channel, where his feelings about Taylor Sheridan's work are enough to make his fellow writers roll their eyes.

A new The Devil Wears Prada movie? Groundbreaking. Or at least, that's the hope we have for the return of Meryl Streep's iconic voguing villain, Miranda Priestly. It's safe to say we are positively girding our loins in excitement at the prospect of seeing Miranda once again go head-to-head with Anne Hathaway's Andy Sachs.

Ahead of the movie's release later this spring, Collider is thrilled to bring you an exclusive image of Streep and Hathaway face-to-face on the streets of New York as part of our ongoing Exclusive Spring Preview event. Is this their first encounter since their respectful parting of ways at the conclusion of the 2006 film? The pair appear to be right back in their original relationship dynamic as Andy certainly seems fearful and apprehensive — who wouldn't be? — while Miranda looks as imperious as ever. Iconic.

The film also sees the return of Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, with additions including Kenneth Branagh and Bridgerton's Simone Ashley. The original movie's director, David Frankel, returns to helm the sequel along with the original producer, Wendy Finerman. Aline Brosh McKenna returns as a writer, making this quite the reunion.

Has the Magic Returned For 'The Devil Wears Prada 2'?

In a recent interview for The Smashing Machine, Blunt revealed the moment on set when she realized she was stepping into another huge pop culture event. She says, “Of course, I meet people who will quote the movie to me, but I’m not sure I’ve ever been hit with a bombardment of the realization of what the movie is to people coming back to the film set. And that’s what we all feel, holy cow. That’s what everyone says, every day: holy shit.”

Mercifully for Blunt's character — also Emily — she will be very far away from Miranda and running her own marketing firm, putting the ruthless abilities she learned at Runway to good use. The original film is considered one of the most memorable of the 2000s, and earned two Academy Award nominations: Best Actress for Streep and Best Costume Design for Patricia Field. It grossed $326 million from a $35 million budget.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 will release in theaters on April 26. Until the sequel's release, you can watch The Devil Wears Prada now on Hulu (or Disney+ with the combined subscription). Make sure to stay tuned for more from Collider's exclusive Spring Preview Event.
