When you think of the biggest movie stars in the world, Russell Crowe can’t be far from the top of the list. Crowe blossomed into a superstar in the late '90s and early 2000s, first for his Oscar-nominated performance opposite Al Pacino in The Insider, and he even took home the Academy Award the following year for his performance in Ridley Scott’s critically acclaimed historical epic, Gladiator. Crowe picked up his third nomination in as many years when he starred in Ron Howard’s A Beautiful Mind, which costars Top Gun: Maverick’s Jennifer Connelly. Crowe most recently starred in the World War II legal drama, Nuremberg.

12 years ago, Crowe portrayed the signature figure in the Bible, Noah, in the film of the same name. The film tells the story of the classic biblical tale, following a man chosen by God to undertake a massive mission before a flood wipes out the world. Harry Potter veteran Emma Watson stars alongside Crowe in Noah, along with Academy Award winner Anthony Hopkins. Darren Aronofsky wrote and directed Noah, with help from Ari Handel on the script. The film grossed over $350 million at the box office against a whopping $125 million budget.

At the time of writing, Noah is not currently streaming anywhere after it lost its previous streaming home at the end of 2025. However, Noah recently began streaming on Netflix, and in international territories, and the film is currently in the top 10 in more than 25 countries around the world. The film earned scores of 75% from critics and 41% from audiences on the aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes. Many casual moviegoers criticize the film for not being a faithful adaptation of the original biblical story.

Is Russell Crowe’s New World War II Movie on Streaming Yet?

Russell Crowe's new World War II movie, Nuremberg, has yet to make its official streaming debut. However, the film is available to rent or purchase on platforms like Prime Video, and it’s even on sale right now for only $5.99. Nuremberg finished its box office run with just over $40 million globally, and the film was even briefly viewed as a major Oscar contender. It ultimately did not receive any nominations, but Crowe's performance in the film is still held in high regard as one of his finest.

Check out Noah on VOD platforms like Prime Video or Apple TV in America, and stay tuned to Collider for more streaming updates.
