Between The Odyssey and The Devil Wears Prada 2, 2026 has been a huge year for Anne Hathaway, and it only gets better from here on out, especially with the upcoming movie adaptation of Colleen Hoover's Verity. That said, 2026 is also set to bring back one of Hathaway's most surprising hits after just over a decade.

Eleven years have passed since the release of Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro's The Intern, and while critic scores were mixed, the movie has held on over the years as a charming workplace comedy, backed up by its box office success. And now, The Intern is returning with a Korean remake and an unskippable star-studded cast.

Warner Bros' Korean remake of The Intern recently unveiled its first-ever trailer and poster, along with a release date of September 16, 2026. News of the remake being in production first surfaced at the end of August 2025, and nearly a whole year later, the movie is finally ready to release. The K-remake is set to star Exhuma, Oldboy, and Notes from the Last Row's Choi Min-sik in the role of De Niro's Ben Whittaker, renamed Kim Ki-ho in this retelling set in South Korea instead of New York.

Meanwhile, the Gyeongseong Creature and Nevertheless, and upcoming Solo Leveling star Han So-Hee is set to take up Hathaway's mantle as CEO Jules Ostin or Sun Woo in this reiteration. All that said, there has been no confirmation of an international theatrical release or streaming release just yet.
