1000-lb Sisters star Amy Slaton's sister Amanda asks fans to 'pray' following her sibling's drug arrest

Amanda Halterman shared a poignant spiritual message after her sister, 1000-lb Sisters star Amy Slaton, was arrested on drug and child endangerment charges.

Slaton, 36, was arrested following an incident at a Tennessee safari park on Labor Day - and later that day her sister Amanda shared a post praying for a mother in need of reassurance.

The message was originally shared by the Facebook group Midnight Mom Devotional back in 2019 and Halterman was perhaps referencing her sister Amy - who is a mother of two - when she posted it to her own account on Monday.

'Tonight we pray for the momma who needs to know it’s all going to be okay. Lord, she has so many situations where she needs You to intervene, but she has one thing that often comes to the surface of her heart and causes her to question if it really is going to be alright.

'Tonight, we ask You to reminder her that You always work everything out for her good... just because You love her. Quiet every lie that causes her to question Your goodness. Help her believe it’s going to be okay. Give her peace. We ask in Jesus’s name, Amen.'

Halterman did not elaborate on the message though did add on a red heart emoji when re-posting it.

The TLC series 1,000-lb Sisters primarily focuses on Slaton and her sibling Tammy, but Amanda has been appearing on the show since season four.

The post came the same day Amanda's sister was arrested.

Slaton was arrested on Labor Day along with Brian Scott Lovvorn, who is facing the same charges.

She can be seen frowning in a mugshot released by Crockett County Sheriff’s Office.

Police were initially called to the Alamo safari park to reports a guest had been bitten by a camel.

Upon arrival, they noted 'suspicious odors' coming from their vehicle, according to the deputies.

A spokesman for the Crockett County Sheriff's Department told People responding officers discovered 'what they believed to be mushrooms' and 'what they believed to be marijuana' inside Slaton's vehicle after smelling marijuana in the car and seeing the drugs out 'in plain sight.'

Slaton and Lavvorn were arrested on charges of illegal possession of Schedule I, illegal possession of Schedule VI, and two counts of child endangerment.

They have been booked into the Crockett County Jail on a $10,000 bond - it is not known if either Slaton or Lovvorn have entered pleas or have retained attorneys.

The message was originally posted by the Facebook group Midnight Mom Devotional back in 2019 and seemed to be in reference to her sister Amy, who has two children

Slaton finalized her divorce from ex-husband Michael Halterman last year.

The couple share two children and had reportedly clashed over their appearance on the TLC reality show.

The pair welcomed their first child, Gage Deon, in November 2020 and their second son, Glenn Allen, in July 2022.

'There was no support. There was no love. There was no kindness. There was just mental abuse,' she told People of their marriage. 'I just got tired of hiding it from people.'

A confrontation between her, her sisters and Michael was shown on season five of the series.

'That's the day I left,' she said. 'But I was falling out of love with him before that.'

After a lengthy custody battle, the former couple decided to share parenting duties.

Amy rose to fame starring opposite her sister Tammy Slaton on the series 1000-Lb. Sisters. The fifth season of the show premiered late last year.

The star has dropped an impressive 176 pounds ever since having weight loss surgery five years ago.

Slaton introduced fans to a new man before her divorce was finalized and was dating a Michigan man named Tony, the US Sun reports.

Police were called to the park in Alamo on Labor Day and said they immediately noted strange odors coming from Slaton's vehicle

By the time her divorce was finalized the couple had been together for around three months.

DailyMail.com has contacted Slaton for comment.
