Tracking down and catching ghosts is not an especially easy task, often because many of these entities will vary their speed and, therefore, might be quite difficult to identify. But which are actually the slowest ghosts in Phasmophobia? We take a look at all of these ectoplasmic friends to identify which ones move the slowest out of them all.
Which are the slowest ghosts in Phasmophobia?
While most ghosts in Phasmophobia move around at an average speed, there are several that will slow down considerably when certain conditions are met. They are the following.
10. Raiju
This type of ghost is not particularly fast, so it shouldn’t normally give you any problems in identifying it, but still, its speed can vary quite a bit when approaching electrical appliances, such as a TV and computer. Near those devices, the Raiju speed can go as high as 2.5 ms.
9. Oni
The Oni is an average ghost that will not change speed, regardless of its approach to the player or their actions. Since they possess quite great strength, they can be quite a formidable opponent, but at least they won’t ever change speed, not even during hunt events. On the plus side, since they are quite active, this makes them easy to spot and identify.
8. The Mimic
The mimic is one great trickster and its overall speed is basically impossible to predict. This is because they will change their behavior with one of the other ghosts every 30 seconds. This means that their base speed can be an average of 1.7 ms, but also go quite low if they change with one of the other ghosts in the list. but its base speed is quite average and it can go even lower than that. Since they have four pieces of evidence in Normal mode, The Mimic can be identified with 100% certainty once you collect them all.
7. Jinn
This is one to watch out for, as they can be quite territorial and will attack if they feel threatened. While their basic speed is quite an average one, they will move faster when the breaker is on and the player is in their line of sight. Careful since they will not gradually move faster, but instead automatically reach a speed of 2.5 ms as soon as they see you. Otherwise, their speed is average.
6. The Twins
These two troublemakers, during hunt events, will vary speed around 10% of the average 1.7 ms, since they are basically two different entities. This means that their speed constantly changes back and forth, they can move as slow as 1.53 on average, but also move slightly faster, at 1.83 ms.
5. Moroi
Risen from the grave to drain the energy of the living, these curse-loving ghosts are known to move around at a slightly slower speed than most average ghosts, at around 1.5. But since they live on human energy, the lower the team’s overall sanity and the faster the Moroi become, so better be careful to not lose tracks of these clues.
4. Hantu
These frost-loving entities, perhaps because of their hobby of sticking close to the ice, move a bit slower than the average, at around 1.4 ms. But when in colder temperatures, their speed will start to move up and can go as high as 2.25 ms. If you wanna make sure that the Hantu will not speed up, keep the generator always on.
3. Thaye
While strong and fast as soon as they enter the location, these slowly aging ghosts will start to become weaker as time passes. This means that their speed varies on their current age, it can go as high as 2.5, but also as low as 1.0 ms.
2. Revenant
The Revenant can be quite tricky with its speed since it will move slowly, at least before detecting the player, but then speed up a bit after that. Still, if we are looking for slow ghosts, then the revenant definitely qualifies with its 1.0 ms.
1. Deogen
While they can be fast during a hunt, the ghost will slow down considerably when approaching the player, going down as slow as 0.4 ms. But when not in the line of sight, they can go as fast as 3.0 ms. They are definitely the slowest entities out of them all, but still that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be approached carefully if you want to make sure to identify them correctly.
