More than just the mark itself, the ability also turns the user’s Nichirin blade red for a certain amount of time, making it a far more effective weapon that can weaken a demon's regeneration and inflict greater damage. Seeing the Hashira wield these new abilities will be a highlight for fans as it will add an extra layer of intensity to the already epic fights.

7 Muzan's Final Form

Demon Slayer's Muzan in his final form.

For much of the series, Muzan's reputation as Demon Slayer's first and strongest demon has been more of a looming threat than something actively witnessed in combat. Fans have yet to see him truly unleash his abilities in battle against the Demon Slayers. Muzan has mostly stayed in the shadows, using his Twelve Kizuki to do his work, but the Infinity Castle arc changes all of that. Unfortunately for Tanjiro and the rest of his team, Muzan truly lives up to his reputation.

In this arc, Muzan's final form will be revealed along with the full extent of his deadly abilities that truly solidify him as the series' main villain. The intense battles against Muzan in his final form will not only highlight why he's the most feared demon, but will also push the Demon Slayers to their absolute limits, making it one of the most epic and anticipated showdowns in both the arc and in the entire series.

6 Obanai and Mitsuri vs. Nakime

Demon Slayer's Love pillar and Snake pillar fight against upper moon 4 Nakime.

Though Obanai and Mitsuri's battle against Upper Moon Four, Nakime is more of a cat-and-mouse game than a direct battle, it will still be an opportunity to see more of these two Hashira in one of the Infinity Castle Arc's best battles. Obanai and Mitsuri's dynamic will work together using their Snake and Love Breathing techniques to counter Nakime. While the fight might lack the intensity other battles have, it highlights the bond Obanai and Mitsuri have and gives fans a much-anticipated look at what their chemistry looks like in battle.

After taking the place of Hantengu as Upper Moon Four, Nakime plays a crucial role in Muzan's plans by manipulating the entire layout of the Infinity Castle. Nakime can manipulate doors, hallways, and rooms, turning the battlefield into a constantly changing maze, making it incredibly difficult for her to be cornered or attacked. Despite the indirect nature of the fight, the challenge Nakime presents adds an extra layer of difficulty, as Obanai and Mitsuri must rely not only on their skills but on their trust in each other to survive.

5 Shinobu Finally Gets Her Revenge

Shinobu holds Doma's head in the afterlife telling him she can pass in peace now that he has been defeated.

Shinobu’s battle against Upper Moon Two, Doma, is deeply personal, as he is the same demon who killed her older sister, Kanae. Seeing that Doma is the demon Kanae described in her last moments of death, Shinobu becomes enraged and attacks him with her Insect Breathing and poisonous techniques. Though she ultimately dies at Doma's hands, her relentless effort plays a crucial role in his downfall. Even though she doesn’t get to land the final blow, it’s her poison that paves the way for his defeat.

In her final moments, Shinobu entrusts her successor, Kanao, with the task of finishing what she started. After Doma's death, he meets Shinobu in the afterlife as she holds his decapitated head. Shinobu smiles at him and expresses her relief that she can finally pass in peace knowing Doma is dead. Despite not being able to kill Doma herself, Shinobu is content knowing her allies succeeded in bringing him down.

4 Kanao and Inosuke vs. Doma

During the battle, Doma acknowledges that Kanao may be stronger than Shinobu, highlighting how capable she is, which is something fans haven't fully seen yet.

The battle against Doma becomes even more meaningful when Inosuke arrives, as Doma also killed his mother in the past. Kanao and Inosuke showcase their abilities in this fight, but they also prove their duty in ensuring Shinobu's sacrifice wasn’t in vain. Together, the two avenge their loved ones and ensure Doma's reign of terror finally ends.

3 Tanjiro and Giyu vs. Akaza

Tanjiro and Giyuu fighting against upper moon 3 Akaza.

A highly anticipated moment in the arc is Tanjiro and Giyu fighting Upper Moon Three, Akaza. This fight is packed with emotional weight, as Akaza was the one responsible for killing the Flame Hashira, Rengoku, in the Mugen Train arc. For Tanjiro, this fight is also a chance to get justice for Rengoku. The bond between Tanjiro and Giyu is also on full display, as this fight will highlight how far they’ve come as both demon slayers and as teammates.

Akaza’s backstory is also revealed, and it offers fans a glimpse into his tragic past and the circumstances that shaped him into who he is. His past adds complexity to his character and makes the fight a collision of ideologies and motivations. This fight is one of the most hype moments fans can look forward to in the movie trilogy due to its combination of deep emotion and action-packed combat.

2 Gyomei, Muichiro, Genya, and Sanemi vs. Kokushibo

Gyomei, Muichiro, Genya, and Sanemi will fight against upper moon 1 Kokushibo.

One of the most hype moments in the Infinity Castle arc is the battle against Upper Moon One, Kokushibo. He is the second-strongest demon right after Muzan, making him a formidable opponent. The battle against Kokushibo showcases just how powerful he is, as it takes the combined strength of four demon slayers, including three Hashira Gyomei, Sanemi, Muichiro, and Genya, to go head-to-head with him.

Fans will also learn about Kokushibo's past as a former demon slayer who turned into a demon out of wanting immortality and power. This fight is not only a physical challenge but also a symbolic clash, as the demon slayers must face someone who once stood on their side.

1 Zenitsu's New Technique and Fight with Kaigaku

Zenitsu beheading Kaigaku with his new thunder breathing technique, Flaming Thunder God.

Throughout the series, Zenitsu is known for being a coward, only able to fight effectively when he's asleep. However, in this arc, that all changes. After learning that his grandfather, Jigoro Kuwajima, who was the previous Thunder Hashira, took his own life because Kaigaku became a demon, Zenitsu's whole persona drastically changes. Though the two are not blood-related, Kaigaku and Zenitsu were both disciples of Zenitsu’s grandfather, which makes the conflict even more personal for Zenitsu. Zenitsu meets Kaigaku in the Infinity Castle and is angry and disgusted at seeing his former senior becoming a demon.

Although they never got along, Zenitsu still respected Kaigaku as his senior because of his dedication to mastering the Thunder Breathing style. Kaigaku had learned all the techniques except the first, while Zenitsu had only mastered the first form. The two clash, but it is Zenitsu who lands the final blow and beheads Kaigaku with his newly created Thunder Breathing, Seventh Form: Flaming Thunder God technique. This marks a significant moment of growth in Zenitsu's character development in Demon Slayer, something fans have waited a long time to see.
