Rohan Naahar is a Weekend News Writer for Collider. From Francois Ozon to David Fincher, he'll watch anything once.

He has covered everything from Marvel to the Oscars, and Marvel at the Oscars. He also writes obsessively about the box office, charting the many hits and misses that are released weekly, and how their commercial performance shapes public perception. In his time at Collider, he has also helped drive diversity by writing stories about the multiple Indian film industries, with a goal of introducing audiences to a whole new world of cinema.

With several of his titles perennially jostling for space on the streaming and PVOD charts, Tom Hardy is among the most popular stars of his generation. Recently, audiences pushed his underrated crime drama The Bikeriders to success on home video, while also propping up the fan-favorite Venom trilogy. Hardy's Oscar-nominated performance in The Revenant received attention as well, viewership data on FlixPatrol reveals. But one title stands head and shoulders above all the rest. It has been a fixture on the Paramount+ charts for nearly a year, and seems to have already established itself among the streamer's breakout hits, most of which have been created by Taylor Sheridan.

In fact, the show in question earned the distinction of having stolen the Paramount+ crown from Sheridan's signature series, Yellowstone, when it debuted in March 2025. Drawing heavily from The Godfather, the show delivered a 10-episode season that received positive reviews, blowing past any expectations that Paramount+ might've had. It featured Hardy in the central role, alongside a star-studded cast including Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren. It followed a London-based crime family's efforts to cement its authority and swat away a challenge from enemy factions, while dealing with internal animosities. It was created by Top Boy's Ronan Bennett, with gangster cinema icon Guy Ritchie serving as executive producer and director on some episodes.

Here's the Tom Hardy Show Mogging the Streaming Charts

The show we're talking about, of course, is MobLand. According to FlixPatrol, it recently crept back onto the global Paramount+ charts, behind four Sheridan series — Yellowstone, Tulsa King, Landman, and Mayor of Kingstown. MobLand will turn a year old in March, and is slated to return for a hotly anticipated second season. The show currently holds a "Certified Fresh" 76% score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, where the critics' consensus reads, "Tom Hardy's gruff charisma is put to good use in MobLand, a gangster saga that hardly reinvents the genre but nails its conventions with crunchy style and memorable performances." Ritchie and Hardy first worked together on the gangster movie RocknRolla, which was released in 2008. Ritchie has two feature films lined up, alongside follow-up seasons for both MobLand and The Gentlemen. He is also putting together a Young Sherlock series for Prime Video. You can watch MobLand at home if you aren't already. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.
