The Apple TV streaming charts have been neck and neck lately since the release of Eternity. The Elizabeth Olsen-led fantasy rom-com has recently dominated the streaming charts for a couple of days. But recently, the 2025 feature has lost its top spot, as a Brad Pitt-led film released that year has returned to number 1.

Eternity has dominated the Apple TV streaming charts since mid-February. The film stars Olsen as Joan, a woman who has recently died and entered the afterlife, where she must choose which of her two husbands, Luke (Callum Turner) or Larry (Miles Teller), she wants to spend eternity with. Eternity debuted at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival before entering theaters in November 2025 and has generated over $35 million worldwide, earning praise from audiences and critics alike, with a 76% Certified Fresh Critics Score and a 90% Verified Hot Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes. Ever since Eternity entered streaming, it became a must-watch on Apple TV, but recently, its time at #1 has come to an end.

F1 is a racing epic that also came out in 2025, starring Pitt as Sonny Hays, a racer-for-hire and former F1 driver hired to return to F1 to drive for APXGP. The film reclaimed the number one spot on Apple TV's Top Movies worldwide, leaving Eternity sitting at second place. Back in early February, F1 reached a major streaming milestone by outperforming its competitors and spending 50 days at the number one spot on both the domestic and global Apple TV viewership charts.

How F1 Was Apple's Biggest Gamble That Paid Off

F1 has a reported budget between $200–300 million, and during its theatrical run, it generated over $633.2 million worldwide. And while it was criticized by racing fans and critics, who claimed the events were "unrealistic," it received a positive reception from a general audience. It was highly praised by critics, earning a Certified Fresh Critics' Score of 82% and a high Verified Hot Audience Score of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. While F1 is completely fictional, the movie featured real F1 drivers and personnel and was filmed during the 2023 and 2024 F1 Seasons.

Following its theatrical and streaming success, F1 has received many major accolades. It was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards for "Cinematic and Box Office Achievement" and "Best Original Score," won a Grammy Award for "Best Country Solo Performance" thanks to the song "Bad As I Used To Be," and is currently in the running for four Academy Awards, including "Best Picture" and is also in the running for a Saturn Award for "Best Action / Adventure Film." Additionally, it was reported that a sequel could be in the works, with Apple and Formula One teasing fans by telling them to "stay tuned" and that they both need to "digest the success of this movie."

F1 is available to stream on Apple TV+.
